• Past continuous tense is used

– for activities that were incomplete and in progress

at a point in the past

various forms of verb ‘hona’ ‘to be’ (in past).

• The verb agrees with the subject in past

progressive tense.

Indicating possession

• When two pronouns are used, one personal

and one possessive for the same person in
