Experience Alaska by Helicopter

Today begins with a quintessential Alaskan adventure – dogsledding! Your driver will pick

you up from your hotel and deliver you to a helipad, where you board your helicopter to

.the icefields. Waiting for you are a team of huskies, who will pull you across the vast

icy landscape. The afternoon promises more adventure with a fly-out fly-fishing excursion

Today you will be met by your driver at your hotel for your transfer to the Juneau

International Airport, where you’ll catch a commercial flight to Ketchikan (cost of the

flight not included in price), and then a charter seaplane flight to Lodge at Whale Pass.

Once you’re settled in, explore one of Southeast Alaska’s finest fishing and

adventure lodges. Accommodations are at the Lodge at Whale Pass.

Enjoy daily fishing excursions around Prince of Wales Island with your captains,

venturing out on 29 foot ‘Sports Utility Boats’ complete with heated cabins, bathrooms,

and berths to enjoy a nap in between catches. Prince of Wales Island offers numerous

rivers, lakes and streams for freshwater and saltwater fishing. You’ll be able to cast a

line for Halibut, Silver Salmon, Rockfish, Rainbow and Cutthroat Trout.

Explore LeConte Glacier

Today is a day-long adventure, cruising to LeConte Glacier where you’ll have the

opportunity to paddle among the icebergs. While kayaking among the icebergs and

harbor seals, don’t forget to look up at the 3,000-foot rock walls and snow-capped granite

mountains that surround the Bay. You’ll return to the lodge via floatplane, on a

sightseeing trip that’s an adventure in its own right. Accommodations are at the Lodge

at Whale Pass.

Travel from Lodge at Whale Pass to Ketchikan

After breakfast and a final paddle around the island, you’ll board your charter seaplane

Jorgenson House

Originally built, the Jorgenson House is a family owned, elegant B&B

and event center located in a quiet, authentic downtown Juneau

.neighborhood. Stay in one of four quiet rooms, each of which includes

private bath, internet access & a touch of Alaskan history. While still

being within walking distance to restaurants, shopping, hiking trails,

swimming pool/gym and local businesses, the Jorgenson House offers

an intimate, luxurious Alaskan experience.

The Lodge at Whale Pass is blessed with a large amount of space

for guests. All of the guest rooms radiate off of the main lodge's great

room. The great room in the main lodge is a very quiet space

designed for reading, conversing and enjoying the view by the fireplace.

The more raucous 'rec' room is a detached building that serves as

a nice sound buffer for those wanting to retire early in the main lodge.
