Passive voice is used when the focus is on the action. It is not important or not known, however, who or what is performing the action.

Form of the passive voice:

Subject + finite form of "to be"+ Past Participle

Present Simple - buy/s = is/are boughtPast Simple – cleaned = was cleanedPresent Perfect – have done = has been donePast Perfect Simple – had called = have been calledFuture with will – will finish = will be finishedGoing to future – going to wash = going to be washedModal verb ( must, can, should) – must/can/should do = must/can/should be done
