What is sustainability

Sustainability is based on a simple principle: Everything that

we need for our survival and well-being depends, either

directly or indirectly, on our natural environment.

Sustainability creates and maintains the conditions under

which humans and nature can exist in productive harmony,

that permit fulfilling the social, economic and other

requirements of present and future generations.

Importance

Sustainability is important to making sure that we have and

will continue to have, the water, materials, and resources to

protect human health and our environment.

How to obtain sustainability?

1. Waste production: minimize the amount of waste produced

during manufacturing process

2. Material management : use and reuse material in the most

productive and sustainable way across their entire life cycle

3. Pollution prevention: reduce or eliminate waste at the source

by modifying production processes, promote the use of

reusable materials

4. Product enhancement: create better products that have longer

lifetime to ensure less trash for environment.

Our project

By using RFID technology, we reduce the antenna size which

means we reduce the material cost.

For most of the part, we use computer to do the simulation

first then the fabrication.

To maximize the material efficiency, we are going to use 3-D

printing technology to rebuild the marker

* Use copper tape instead of copper
