what equipment do you use?? This is going to be a short list.Canon 350DJessops 150A flashVivitar 3700 flashNikon off camera cordA silver tripod and a black bag.

what made you start taking pictures??

Well i have to say my dad, when he was young he always was into his photography and when i was growing up he always had his camera with him all the time, so when i got into riding i got into taking pho-tos of it too. I just always used his old Canon A1. As he got older he got fed up of carring that big thing around so he brought a tiny little sony digital camera which i always robbed of him from time to time. Then for my 18th birthday i got my Camera and thats the end of the story. So yeah my dad got me started.

what inspires you??

Mostly dark places when i can us a flash or two, i love them shadows. I have two dogs and they are the best thing to take photos of so ill have to say my dogs aswell.

sights and perspectives of everyday bmx life

As a bike rider theres plenty of images, sights, perspectives and views that a non bmxer would

completely dismiss but for those who ride, those sights hold so much more and stir

something inside.

Joe Cox’s Voices - Love the scene, love the riding, love the soundtrack, love the extras and love it. The most inspiring DVD around! Not much else I can say go watch it.

Building the Underground – When I first saw this I only thought it was ok average, but Dave got me to watch it again and couldn’t believe how much I enjoyed it and how much it inspired me. Maybe I wasn’t paying attention the first time, but definitely a grower.

Fit Puerto Rico – I feel in love with this, the whole Fit team to battle at empty skateparks, mini ramps on the sides of cliffs and great street. Its one of those happy vibe DVD’s.

Square One Wide Awake Nightmare – Its getting pretty old now but you can still watch it and think its today’s riding without all the front flips. Each riders section has something amazing in. The sections to watch Brian Wizmerski and Cory Martinez.

Drop the Hammer – They did something good on this one, its short but goes straight to the point with Ryan Nyquist sharing a video with Morgan Wade and Gary Young you wouldn’t think it would work to well but it does, if your after a quick burst of footage to get you out on your bike, I’d go for this one.

Road Fools 5 – This has it all, the first appearance of Morgan Wade, a very young looking Chase Hawk, the old Hoffman Warehouse, photography and riding from Chris Hallman and a bit of Troy Mc-Murray. I could go on but instead watch it. Road Fools 12 – I do love a good road fools, they always seem to be happy. 12 is no different if I could id put all 14 in this list but that wouldn’t be very fun. There is a good crew and good riding and a few of the songs on the soundtrack made me go spend money on albums.

Square One Halloween Tour – The square one team are pretty good really, so you just know when you make a DVD its going to be a great one. This one again is amazing, I like the fact its not riders sections riding there local stuff it’s a trip or a tour.

Expendable Three – Yes it’s a Fox video and yes it’s cheesy as hell, but there are some real classic moments. A good section on Colin Winkleman and old footage of Ruben to make you feel better about yourself.

FLY UNO – It just goes to show how much you can ride 4/5 blue pallets. That’s all they do in the 20 minute intro, Ruben does stuff you wouldn’t think was possible on pallets. It’s like a road trip and foot-age of there local spots they ride. All in all a good package.

Digital Interface – My copy of this has broken so I haven’t had chance to watch it in some time but I remember it was a great one.

Etnies Forward – A lot of people didn’t like this because it was too artfag but it was almost the first of many and I think because of this video riding videos are how they are today.

T1 You get what you get – You must admit there is a connection between this and Forward. Between all the sight seeing and culture shocks there is a good amount of riding and it just goes to show how much money can be put into something you started to doing as a kid with your friends. Forrest of Dean – This isn’t a big produced thing it’s just a few riders taking footage of each other from parks and comps around the country then editing it together with music and what not. I liked it.

The Roundabout Tour – I know for definite that people didn’t like this much but I did and one of the reasons is just simply I’d love to do something like that with all of my friends.

an optical revolution ‘it really is as easy as pushing a button...’ Ever since I bought my first camera I have been hooked on taking pictures, pretty much of anything I could point a lens at. It wasn’t until I bought my friends old Nikon fm2 that I began to understand and fully appreciate exactly what a camera can do.

I used to get pissed off at wasting my money on getting a shite film developed (frequently), but in hindsight, I can see that every single one was worth it. You see, a picture isn’t just a picture - it tells a story. To some it is meaningless, but to others it could open a new world. The only thing that would stop me from using my camera would be money, so taking the step towards digital photography was a logical choice - expensive, but logical. To say I’m pleased with it is an understatement. The one thing that sets it aside is the limitless amount of pictures I can take and still afford some sweets and pop. I really couldn’t see myself without it now. I doubt 35mm will ever be replaced, but we are starting a new era. The quality of film is absolutely second to none, but with digital there appears to be no limits. For me it is the answer to the cost problem, allowing me to take as many pics as I care to. But still, I could never be without my old Nikon. Anything that allows more pictures to be taken is a very good thing, after all, digital isjust another step up the ladder of progression. Imagine what more there is to come.. take more pictures, everyone. - trigg - last film roll bought-22/09/2005

Theres no denying that the pool was a killer to ride as it was so harsh and although I barely rode it on that ear-ly sunday morning, I couldn’t help but feel a little overwhelmed that we were riding a gem (albeit a tight one) of a riding spot almost unknown in this country. As unwelcome as it was riding to it at 6am on a sunday morning, I’m pretty sure it’s a memory I won’t beforgetting anytime soon..........

RIP stown pool xx
