WE INVITE YOU to immerse yourself in our worship and life together. To learn more you may also bring home the literature included in this bulletin. Please join us for merienda fellowship after the worship service. WHAT MAKES OUR CHURCH DISTINCT? OUR CHURCH HOLDS TO THE HISTORIC CHRISTIAN FAITH that was “once for all delivered to the saints,” confessed in the Apostles' and Nicene Creeds, summarized in the Three Forms of Unity, and based firmly on the inerrant, inspired Word of God. WE ARE A REFORMED CHURCH, rejoicing in God's sovereign grace to unworthy sinners. The great Protestant Reformation of the 16th century, during which God was pleased to restore the true faith to His church, is our rich heritage. We are concerned that most evangelical churches have departed from scriptural teachings and this rich heritage to accommodate modern trends, such as entertainment, social gospel, and prosperity teachings. OUR WORSHIP SERVICE is centered around the preaching of God's Holy Word. We believe that God tells us in Scripture how we ought to worship Him. So our worship service is not a “creative” human invention, but based on Scriptures. Therefore, we follow worship patterns found in all of Scriptures, and we sing mostly from God's inspired songbook, the Psalms. Because we stand before God in worship, our services are offered to God “with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire.”

Confession of SinResponsive Reading of the Law

Minister: You shall have no other gods before me.People: For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him

be glory forever. (Romans11:36)M: You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of

anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is inthe water under the earth. You shall not bow down to them or serve them..

P: He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by him all things were created. (Colossians 1:15)

M: You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain, for the LORDwill not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain.

P: Through him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that acknowledge his name. (Hebrews 13:15)

M: Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor, and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God.

P: Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. (Colossians 3:16)

work with his own hands, so that he may have something to share withanyone in need. (Ephesians 4:28)

M: You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.P: Speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him

who is the head, into Christ. (Ephesians 4:15)M: You shall not covet anything that is your neighbor's.ALL: I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content.

(Philippians 4:11)2

General Confession Our Father, we are sinful and you are holy. We recognize that we have

heard in your Law difficult words, knowing how often we have offended you in thought, word and deed, not only by obvious violations, but by failing to conform to its perfect commands, by what we have done and by what we have left undone.

There is nothing in us that gives us reason for hope, for where we thought we were well, we are sick in soul. Where we thought we were holy,we are in truth unholy and ungrateful. Our hearts are filled with the love of the world; our minds are dark and are assailed by doubts; our wills are too often given to selfishness and our bodies to laziness and unrighteousness. By sinning against our neighbors, we have also sinned against you, in whose image they were created. In this time of silent confession we bring you our particular sins. [Silent Confession]

Assurance of Pardon Psalm 103:8, 11-13Response of Gratitude

Song of Thanksgiving Come, You Who Fear the LORD (Psa 66)Come, you who fear the LORD, andwhat He has done for me; |hearMy cry for help is turned to praise,For He has set me free.If in my heart I sin regard,my pray'r He will not hear; But truly God has heard my voice,my prayer has reached His ear.

O let the LORD, our gracious God,forever blessed be,Who has not turned my pray'r fromnor yet His grace from me. |Him,O all ye peoples, bless our God,aloud proclaim His praise;Who safely holds our soul in life, and steadfast makes our ways.

The Creed (in unison) Apostles' CreedI believe in God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ, his only-begotten Son our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit; born of the virgin Mary; suffered under Pontius Pilate; was crucified, died, and buried; he descended into hell. The third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right handof God the Father Almighty. From there he shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church*, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
