Dear Sirs,

The following is a summary of Micon’s Parys Mountain mineral resource estimate.

PARYS MOUNTAIN RESOURCE ESTIMATE

The database used to estimate the mineral resources of the 2012 Parys Mountain block model contains

359 diamond drilling holes (75,613.37 m). The database contains assay information for copper, lead,

zinc, silver and gold and geologic information.

SPECIFIC GRAVITY

For the purpose of this resource estimation, density values were calculated from the regression

formula detailed in the report “An Independent Review of the Geological Reserves at Parys Mountain,

Anglesey, Wales (Emberton J ,1990)”. This density regression formula is:

Regressed Bulk Density = (Zn + Pb + Cu) x 0.0297 + 2.7629

Figure 1.1: Graph Detailing Specific Gravity Regression Analysis (source Emberton J, 1990)

MINERALISED WIREFRAMES

Mineralised envelopes were defined in 4 areas of the deposit: the Engine Zone, the White Rock Zone,

the Deep Engine Zone and the Garth Daniel Zone. These wireframes are displayed in Figure 1.2.

Top-Cutting of Outliers

The frequency distributions of the copper, lead, zinc, silver and gold sample populations were

examined to identify the presence of extreme high-grade outlier populations for the Engine Zone,

White Rock Zone and Northern Copper Zone. There was not sufficient data to conduct an outlier

study on the Deep Engine Zone and the Garth Daniel Zone. As these two zones are really high grade,

the top-cutting values identified for the Engine Zone were applied on their samples.

Outlier values may result from sampling errors and can exert an undue influence during block grade

interpolation. They can result in over-estimation of block grades and lead to poor reconciliation of

expected and actual metal production. The methodology employed for establishing the outlier limit

was to examine the distribution of the sample population. Log-probability plots of the distribution of

sample values were generated and are presented in Figures 1.3 to 1.17.

The selection of outlier values is based on the deviation of the grade distribution from a straight line

in the probability plot. Based on the plots Micon identified samples as outliers and the top-cutting

values are summarised in Table 1.6.

Compositing

In the database the sample length is variable with a minimum of 0.2 m and a maximum of 9.2 m.

Considering the distribution of the sample length, Micon decided to composite the samples of the

Engine Zone, Deep Engine Zone, White Rock Zone and Garth Daniel Zone to 2 m, the most frequent

length. The samples of the Northern Copper Zone had a most frequent length of 1.5 m, which was

used as the composite length for this area.

The composites were made using a best-fit algorithm that allowed the composite length to be varied

within a given tolerance of 0.4 m, in order to minimise the loss of data, but maintain a consistent

composite length.

Basic statistical parameters for composited data for the different zones are presented in Tables 1.12 to

1.16.

due to compositing.

VARIOGRAPHY

Assay composites were compiled in order to analyse variography. Variography was conducted for the

Engine Zone and for the White Rock Zone.

Downhole variograms were drawn to estimate the nugget effect and then variograms were calculated

in 3D to identify the plane of greatest continuity. A fan of variograms within the plane of greatest

continuity was then calculated to identify the direction of maximum continuity within the plane.

Models of the variograms in the direction of maximum continuity and the orthogonal directions were

then drawn for each element to be used during the consequent interpolation.

Examples of variograms are displayed in the following Figures: a downhole variogram for copper for

the White Rock Zone in Figure 1.18, and a major, a semi-major and a minor variograms for copper in

the Engine Zone in Figure 1.19 to 1.21.

BLOCK MODEL

The Parys Mountain block model utilised regular-shaped blocks measuring (X) 5 m by (Y) 5 m by (Z)

10 m, sub-blocked to a size of (X) 0.625 m by (Y) 0.625 m by (Z) 1.25 m . This block size was the

most appropriate considering the morphology of the mineralisation and the distribution of sample

information. The parameters that describe the block model are summarised in Table 1.19.

SEARCH ELLIPSE AND SELECTION OF NUMBER OF SAMPLES

The basic statistical analysis, combined with the variography and assay composites analysis has

indicated the appropriate method and parameters for block grade estimation. The details of the

parameters are given in Table 1.20. Multiple pass estimation procedures were used in order to

preserve the local variation of grades.

GRADE INTERPOLATION

Grade interpolation was performed using Ordinary Kriging (OK) for copper, lead, zinc, silver and

gold for the Engine Zone and the White Rock Zone. For the Deep Engine Zone, Northern Copper

Zone and the Garth Daniel Zone an ID squared (ID2) procedure was applied to interpolate the copper,

lead, zinc, silver and gold data. Each solid was estimated only by the composites included inside it.

BLOCK MODEL VALIDATION

The resource model was validated using the following methods:

i. Declustering of the drill hole composites;

ii. Comparison of composite data and blocks average grade by wireframes; and,

iii. Comparison of composite data and blocks average grade by section.

The drill hole composite file was declustered to the block size of (X) 5 m by (Y) 5 m by (Z) 10 m and

the declustered grades were then plotted against the estimated grades from the block model. The

corresponding plots for the Engine Zone and the White Rock Zone are shown in Figures 1.22 to 1.31.

The declustering analysis provides a comparison of local block grade estimates and the composites

that occur within the block. The figures indicate that the local grade estimates compare well with

local composite data.

RESOURCE CLASSIFICATION

During the block modelling process, blocks that were assigned values on the first search were defined

as Indicated Mineral Resources. The remaining portion of the mineralised zone, which was estimated

using a secondary search ellipse, was assigned to the Inferred Mineral Resource Category (see Table

4.20 for the search criteria).

The block model classified by Mineral Resource Category is displayed in Figure 1.32.

Figure 1.32: Mineral Resource Categories for the Parys Mountain Block Model

(Green: Indicated Mineral Resources, Red: Inferred Mineral Resources)

MINERAL RESOURCES

A mineral resource estimate was made based on a suite of metal prices. These metal prices were

assigned to each block and the sum of the products of these prices and the various block grades

produced a single Gross Metal Product Value (“GMPV”) value for each block. Micon reported the

mineral resources by category following the guidelines of the JORC Code, for a range of GMPV cut-

off values from $0 per tonne to $200 per tonne.

The Gross Metal Product Value (GMPV) was calculated from the following formula using the metal

prices displayed in Table 1.21 and a recovery of 65%.

GMPV=[(Cu*22.046*3.5)+(Pb*22.046*1.0)+(Zn*22.046*0.9)+(Ag*33/31.1035)+(Au*1700/31.1035)]*0.65

Mineral Resources were calculated based on GMPV cut-off grades, at 18, 26, 35, 44, 53, 60, 80, 100,

120, 140, 160, 180 and 200 GMPV. Mineral Resources are summarised in Table 1.22, and detailed

by 40 m vertical sections in Tables 1.23 to 1.37.
