Partnership for Stanin Commune Development BONA FIDE Association

Members of the association represent different professional groups. The main aim of the association is the integration of people of good will who want to promote actively the development of Stanin Commune.

Our efforts are also focused on education, physical education and sport, the activation of the rural population, supporting residents, promoting knowledge about important aspects of social and economic life of our commune, country and Europe.

The Association has taken steps to equalization of commune residents’ opportunities, and European integration

Kick – boxing activities According to saying

„Healthy mind in a healthy body”

The project was co-financed by the European Social Fund, its main goal was counteracting social exclusion by kick-boxing classes and integration of 25 participants of the Project , including 18 boys and 7 girls aged 15-19.

The project was carried out with the Stanin Commune partnership. During the period from 7th May 2010 to 15th October 2010 eighty-eight hours of kick-boxing have been completed. Classes were led by multiple Polish champion - Krzysztof Pucyk.

Thanks to funds acquired from the European Union for the implementation of the project the equipment to the gym has been bought , and participants of the project received boxing gloves for free. The demonstration of kick-boxing fight was also organized. The audience could admire coach Krzysztof Pucyk, his students and other participants of the project.

During the course young people had a chance to learn basic fighting position, a combination of different types of punches, how to defend themselves against strikes as well as making new friends, and above all, they spent their free time in the right way. The amount of the grant : 47,250 PLN ( 11 812 euro)

II. The project titled "Physical Activity a way to integrate the local community." The tasks were financed by the Human Capital Operational Programme (HCOP), in the implementation of Priority VII, Action 7.3, under an agreement with the Voivodeship Labour Office in Lublin.

Young people aged from 15 to 22 participated in volleyball and football activities. There were two groups of 15 people each.120 hours of volleyball classes and 120 hours of football classes were carried out. The trainers were people from outside the school.

Adult men aged 18 to 55 took a part in the project too. They practiced selected sports disciplines recreationally and without high training loads.The participants were interested in team games, especially in playing football.

Two groups of 15 people each were created. They practiced sport in a sports hall in Staninie twice a week. The initiator of the course was a graduate of AWF Rafał. From September 2010 to May 2011 240 hours of classes were carried out.

A lot of sports competitions were held in the Stanin Commune. The greatest one, which was carried out, was the indoor 5- a-side football league in Staninie. Eleven teams (including 10 from the area of Stanin Commune) participated in it.

In total, 127 players, including about 80 from the area of Stanin Commune, had a chance to present their skills in sports hall in Stanin . In addition, football, volleyball, basketball and table tennis tournaments were held as a part of the project.

One of the attractions of the project is going to the football league matches and Polish Volleyball League matches. Boys and girls who were participating in the project activities could see a football and volleyball stars. So far there were two trips to watch Polonia Warszawa football matches and two to watch AZS Politechnika Warszawa volleyball matches

Thanks to the project funds the necessary equipment to teach participants and conduct the project was bought. For the total amount of 7360 PLN balls, a headset microphone, a computer, medals, trophies, diplomas were purchased. We received a total of approximately 12 500 euros

Project „ Adults are joining the Europe confidently by learning the

English language”

Participants took a part in English classes for two lessons (90 minutes) twice a week. There were two language groups: Beginers ( 17 people including 12 women and 5 men), pre-intermediate group (8 people including 6 women and 2 men). In total, 280 hours were held,140 hours for each group.

English classes were carried out in the Complex of Schools in Stanin. Participants were taught by the teacher of English from the local schoolThe development of communication skills was achieved during the trip to London in July 2011

The group of 15 participants + English teacher experienced positive ways of spending free time by participating in a 6 - day tour of London and its surrounding area

Participants also developed their practical English communication skills.Some headphones and audio books were bought during the course.

Classes were held in English language lab equipped with 10 computers, and IWB.Total amount granted to the project: 49 979.00 PLN, about 12,500 euro
