The VPLS/MPLS

Advantage

VPLS works over Layer 2, linking sites across manygeographical locations, as if they were on the same Local Area Network. This simplification of the NetworkArchitecture allows increased flexibility in management andimproved efficiency in monitoring. For VPLS to work, it isimplemented over an MPLS enabled network.

The Network which is created is in effect a completelyprivate cloud. Virtual LANs are enabled between sites,connecting all locations, facilitated using a variety of

connectivity methods. This results in the appearance of allservices running on the same LAN, irrespective of location.

Convergence of services is enabled over a single accesscircuit, with enhanced built-in resilience from addingcircuits to one or more sites – all without any requirementfor downtime. Voice, videoconferencing and data can allhave allocations with QoS enabled over the network. Talk Straight’s core network ensures that the service is monitored proactively and the quality is first rate.
