RESTAURANT? Yes, we do and it is available for lunch, dinner, brunches,

cocktail hours – basically whenever you need it and we would

love to host you! Please contact our Events and Groups Sales

Manager at the restaurant with your details and we can start

to plan it!

HOW CAN I BOOK A PRIVATE EVENT AT YOUR

RESTAURANT? WHO SHOULD I CONTACT REGARDING

GROUP EVENTS AND CORPORATE BOOKINGS? CAN

YOU SEND ME MORE INFORMATION? Absolutely, general inquires as well as customized requests

should be directed to our Events and Groups Sales Manager.

WHAT IS THE LARGEST GROUP YOU CAN

ACCOMMODATE?Our private dining room can seat up to 25 people comfortably

(40 guests standing, such as for cocktail style parties).

Our main dining area can seat 70 comfortably (up to

135 standing). If you buy-out the entire restaurant, we

can accommodate groups up to 200 (mixed use), or 150

seated/175 including bar seating.

IS YOUR PRIVATE DINING ROOM AREA AND/OR MAIN

DINING ROOM HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE? The main restaurant is handicap accessible. However, the

private dining room (PDR) is separated from the main dining

room by 2 steps.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO BOOK THE PRIVATE

DINING ROOM? IS THERE A FEE FOR BOOKING/USING

THE PRIVATE DINING ROOM (PDR)? We do not charge a fee for booking our PDR per se; however,

for groups of 10 or more we do apply a set 18% gratuity, a 5%

service fee & all applicable taxes to the final bill.

DO YOU OFFER A “RESTAURANT BUY-OUT” OPTION?Yes, we do have “buy-out” options available. Pricing

determined based upon day of week and time of year.

Please contact our Events & Groups Sales Manager for more

information.

WHAT IS A “FOOD & BEVERAGE MINIMUM?A Food & Beverage Minimum is a monetary amount a guest

must spend (excluding tax & gratuity) in order to secure a

contracted space.

It can also be understood as a “minimum spend” or in other

words, the minimum amount that you will need to spend in

order to have use of the private space.

WHAT IF WE DON’T REACH OUR FOOD & BEVERAGE

MINIMUM?You have 2 options: you can opt to receive the difference

of your unspent minimum in JAX-KC gift cards (in $25

increments) or we will simply add the difference to your final

bill.

DO WE HAVE TO ORDER VIA “SET MENUS” OR CAN WE

ORDER FROM THE REGULAR MENU?We only require set or limited menus for parties of 20 or

more. We recommend set/limited menus for groups under 20

guests, but they are not required.

CAN YOU CUSTOMIZE YOUR SET MENUS FOR OUR

GROUP? CAN YOU CREATE A CUSTOMIZED MENU FOR

OUR GROUP?Yes, absolutely. We are happy to customize any of our

menus and/or create a customized menu (selecting from our

different menus) according to your preferences. Also, feel

free to ask about customizing your personalized menu with

our chef.

DO YOU HAVE MENU OPTIONS FOR VEGETARIANS?

ALLERGIES?Yes. We have several vegetarian-friendly dishes available.

For allergies, we ask that you communicate your specific

allergies with the Events & Group Sales Manager and we will

be able to confirm with you whether or not those ingredients

are present in a particular dish, and if they omittable or

replaceable.

CAN WE BRING OUR OWN WINE? Absolutely. Just please be aware that we have a $25 per

bottle corkage fee.

CAN WE BRING OUR OWN CAKE/DESSERT?

Yes, absolutely. We do not have a cake or outside dessert fee.

CAN WE BRING OUR OWN DECORATIONS AND/OR

FLOWERS? CAN WE USE CANDLES ON THE TABLES?

WILL YOU COORDINATE OUTSIDE VENDORS TO

SUPPLY DECORATIONS, FLOWERS, SPECIAL ITEMS,

ETC. FOR OUR EVENT?Yes, absolutely. At Jax-KC, we love to throw a great party

and so decorations are more than welcome. We simply ask

that you determine with the Events & Groups Sales Manager

all the details in advance for drop-off, placement & clean-

up/return. We would be more than happy to coordinate

with outside vendors for special requests/decorations (an

additional 5% coordination fee will apply). *Please note that

we request that you not use loose glitter or confetti.

ARE YOU KID-FRIENDLY? Yes. Our private dining space is perfect for family

celebrations! We are family at Jax. We host our guests as

family. SO we love when children and families join us for

parties. We even have a child menu available for anyone

under age 12.

DO I NEED TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT TO VIEW THE

PDR/TOUR THE VENUE?You do not need to make an appointment but it is

recommended. You can do so by calling or emailing our

Events & Groups Sales Manager.

WHAT IS THE PROCESS FOR BOOKING AND

CONFIRMING AN EVENT?After all your details are sent to the Events Sales Manager,

you will receive a “BEO” (via email) outlining your event

details, for your review and confirmation. You will be

requested to 1.) confirm your event details and 2.) secure

the event with a credit card (an authorization form will

accompany the BEO)

DO YOU CHARGE A DEPOSIT TO RESERVE THE PDR?

No. But a credit card guarantee is required when the dining

agreement (BEO) is signed.

WILL YOU CHARGE MY CREDIT CARD? WHAT

WILL YOU DO WITH MY CREDIT CARD NUMBER/

AUTHORIZATION FORM? We will not charge your credit card to hold the reservation.

We keep the authorization securely stored in our TripleSeat

system. After the event, the guest can request that the credit

card on file be used for payment or they can use a different

card.

BY WHEN MUST I FINALIZE MY MENU CHOICES?

WHAT IS THE LATEST THAT I CAN CONFIRM MY

GUEST COUNT?Final menu selections are due by 5 days before your event.

We request a billable headcount 48hrs before your event.

DO YOU HAVE WI-FI?

Yes, we do.

DO YOU HAVE ON-SITE A/V EQUIPMENT?Yes we have built-in AV! Check with the Jax event manager

for all the specifics.

IS PARKING AVAILABLE? WHERE CAN I PARK? IS

THERE A VALET? WHAT DOES THE PARKING GARAGE

COST? WHAT DOES VALET COST? DO YOU VALIDATE

PARKING?Yes, yes, and yes. There are several options for parking at

Jax-KC:

You can choose to self-park in the parking garage connected

with our neighbor the Fontaine Hotel (just next door to Jax).

With validation, your parking will be free of charge (please

remember to bring your ticket & ask us to validate it).

You can choose to valet your car. For valet, we partner with

the Fontaine Hotel’s valet service. Simply arrive at the

entrance of the hotel and the hotel valet service will assist

you. The cost to valet is $5.

There is limited street parking available around the vicinity

of Jax-KC; however, we urge you to carefully read all signs to

be sure of legal times/days and time limits.
