1. GENERAL
(+is Part specifies t+e re#uire$ents for t+e installation of drilled, cast in place, reinforced concrete piles, -+ic+ donot use per$anent casing. It does not coer continuous flig+t auger piles /refer to Part 41).

4. PILE CONSTR#CTION
4.1 E)ca*ation
(+e Contractor s+all ensure t+at t+e $et+od of construction preents collapse, ingress of conta$inants and$aterial falling in fro$ t+e surface. If te$porar! steel casing is used for t+is purpose, an! +oles ored prior toplacing t+e casing in position s+all e drilled -it+ a it not $ore t+an 2' $$ larger t+an t+e outside dia$eter oft+e casing.

Acceptance criteria, superision and reporting of integrit! testing s+all e in accordance -it+ t+e re#uire$ents ofAS 21'.

(+e Contractor s+all carr! out d!na$ic testing of piles to confir$ t+at design pile capacit! +as een ac+ieed. Atleast one d!na$ic load test s+all e perfor$ed for eer! %0 piles. Additional d!na$ic load testing s+all also ecarried out on piles in t+e eent t+at pile toe leels ar! ! $ore t+an 2 $etres fro$ t+e test pile. (esting s+all ecarried out ! use of a Pile riing Anal!ser /PA and t+e data otained fro$ eac+ pile s+all e anal!sed usingCAPAP, (BADE or ot+er approed e#uialent soft-are.
Additional load testing re#uire$ents /including static load tests $a! e specified in t+e Contract SpecificRequirementor on t+e ra-ings.
(+e test procedure and test reports s+all confor$ -it+ t+e re#uire$ents of AS 21', and t-o copies of a reports+o-ing t+e $easured field para$eters and t+e results of anal!sis to deter$ine pile capacit! s+all e proided tot+e Superintendent.
(+e $easured ulti$ate capacit! of test piles s+all e e#ual to or greater t+an t+e pile test load specified in t+eContract Specific "e#uire$ents or on t+e ra-ings.
