MAKE & MODEL: TOYOTA LANDCRUISER 80 SERIES INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

PLEASE ENSURE THAT INSTRUCTIONS ARE UNDERSTOOD PRIOR TO FITMENT

1. In the engine bay, locate the vehicle battery (1). 2. Lift the battery rubber seal and route the power

input harness (2) towards the LHS of the engine bay.

Note: Do not connect the power input harness to the battery at this point.

3. Route the power input harness (1) down towards

the vehicle grommet (2). 4. Pierce a hole in the vehicle grommet (2). 5. Route the power input harness (1) through the

grommet hole and into the vehicle cabin.

For P/No: 04997 & 04999 only. 6. In the vehicle cabin, following the diagram on

the right, house the two power & ground input harness female terminals (4) into the mating connector (3).

7. Connect the power input harness connector (3) to the body harness mating connector.

For P/No: 04998. 8. In the vehicle cabin, following the diagram on

the right, house the three power & ground input harness female terminals (4) into the mating connector (5).

9. Connect the power input harness connector (5) to the body harness mating connector. .

For P/No: 04998 & 04999 only 10. Inside the vehicle cabin, route the body harness

(1) behind the dash and towards the driver’s side.

11. Locate the electric brake controller. 12. Mount the electric brake controller mounting

bracket. 13. Route the electric brake controller wires toward

the electric brake controller mounting location.

For P/No: 04998 & 04999 only

14. Following the diagram on the right, house the body harness terminals (1) into the corresponding slot on the connector (2).

15. Insert the secondary lock (3) into the connector (2).

16. Connect the body harness connector to the electric brake controller.

17. Remove the LHS front scuff plate (1) and the LHS kick panel (2).

18. Remove the LHS rear scuff plate (1). 19. Dislodge the LHS rubber door seal (2).

20. Route the body harness (1) from the LHS kick

panel area along the LHS of the vehicle and towards the rear.

21. Route the body harness (1) along the LHS of the vehicle and into the luggage compartment area.

22. In the luggage compartment remove the LHS

access panel cover (1).

23. Route the body harness (1) towards the trailer

harness / tail harness connectors.

For P/No: 04998 and 04999 only. 24. Locate the trailer harness (2). 25. Disconnect the trailer harness 8-way connector

(2) and the tail harness 8-way mating connector (1).

26. Connect the body harness 8-way connector (3) to the trailer harness mating connector (2).

27. Connect the body harness 8-way connector (3) to the tail harness 8-way mating connector.

For P/No: 04997 & 04998 only. 28. Connect the body harness 2-way female

connector (1) into the 12-pin tail harness mating connector (2).

Note: Any future accessories can be patched in between these two connectors. Total power rating is 30-amps.

For P/No: 04998 only.

29. Connect the body harness (1) orange & orange/white wires (2) to the positive terminal on the vehicle battery (3).

30. Connect the body harness (1) white ground wire (4) to the negative terminal on the vehicle battery (3).

31. Secure the body harness (1) with cable ties (not supplied).

For P/No: 04997 & 04999 only. 32. Connect the body harness (1) orange wire (2) to

the positive terminal on the vehicle battery (3). 33. Connect the body harness (1) white ground wire

(4) to the negative terminal on the vehicle battery (3).

34. Secure the body harness (1) with cable ties (not supplied).

35. Test the body harness function using a light

board or multimeter. 36. Secure all harnesses using cable ties (not

supplied). 37. Re-fit all removed parts and secure all

fasteners, ensuring there are no squeaks or rattles.

38. Place instructions in glove box after fitment.
