PART 10: One-Another One Another INTRODUCTION When Jesus talked about his church, he didn’t predict a place. He predicted a people—a gathering with one thing in common: the belief that Jesus is the chosen and sent one of God. When the church behaves like a place, it makes for a bad church experience. When it behaves like a gathering—a movement—it changes people’s lives and it changes the world. DISCUSSION QUESTIONS 1. Do you tend to think of church as a place or a people? How do you think that influences the way you view God? 2. Have you ever been “one-anothered” by someone in the church? If so, what were the circumstances? How did that experience change your relationship with your heavenly Father? 3. In the message, Andy said, “God measures the health and maturity of our relationship with him by our relationships with the people around us.” Respond to that statement. Do you agree? Why or why not? 4. What are some reasons it is so difficult to step out of Sunday morning rows at church and move into circles with others? What motivated you to move you into a circle? 5. How have your relationships with other believers produced growth in your relationship with God? 6. Who is one person you need to “one-another”? What is one thing you can do this week to show him or her love? What can this group do to support you? MOVING FORWARD Life is better connected. We believe that’s where church happens. We want you to have the full experience. We want you in circles as well as rows. CHANGING YOUR MIND “By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” John 13:35
