NEW PILGRIM PATH (www.newpilgrimpath.ie) is inspired by Pope Francis’s enthusiasm for the internet. He urges Christian to “walk the streets of the digital highways in order to dialogue with people today and to help them encounter Christ”. Each week they feature a website which may be of interest to fellow Christians. Prayer, Fasting and Almsgiving’ – the three pillars of Lent - is a free three-day online retreat from Dublin’s Dominican Priory Institute. This inspiring retreat can be done in your own time at any stage dur-ing Lent.

SUTTON DEANERY— DAY OF PRAYER & REFLECTION (For all Ministers and Parishioners)

On 21st March 2020, Fr Victor Darlington, parish priest of Camberwell and lecturer in New Testament at St John’s Seminary, Wonersh, will speak on the Gospel of Mark. The event will begin with Holy Mass at 9.30 am followed by coffee and will finish at 2.00 pm. The venue is Holy Family Church, Sutton Green, SM1 1QT. All are welcome!

SAVE THE DATE! Mass for Migrants on Saturday 2nd May 2020, St Antony of Padua, 56 St Antony’s Road, Forest Gate, London E7 9QB. In honour of St Joseph the Worker. Presided by Bishop Alan Williams Timings: 11.00 Clergy procession; 11.05 – 11.25 Banner procession; 11.30 Mass begins. The icon of Our Lady of Walsingham blessed earlier this month by Pope Francis will be on the sanctuary for the procession and Mass.

Stations of the Cross: During Lent there w ill be Stations of the Cross at 7.30 pm each Wednesday and Friday. On Fridays the Stations will be led by Fr Anthony. On Wednesdays they will be led by a lay per-son. If you would like to volunteer to lead the Stations of the Cross on one or more Wednesdays, please sign on the list in the meeting area.

LENTEN PRAYER BREAKFASTS (8.15am - 9.15am) con-tinue each Saturday during Lent until 4th April. The format will include Praise and Worship, Opening Prayer, Scripture readings, silent meditation, Intercessions and a closing

prayer. ALL ARE WELCOME! LENTEN RECONCILIATION SERVICE on Monday 30th March at 7.30pm. (Details to follow)

LAST SUNDAY’s attendance was 254 and the Offertory (including Ash Wednesday) came to £640.10 shared between £374.65 in loose money and £265.45 in Gift Aid envelopes. The second collection for Poor Parishes came to a total of £268.25. Many thanks for your generosity.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! Are you able to prepare tea, coffee etc af-ter the 9.30 Mass on Sunday? This is an opportunity to get to know your fellow parishioners a little better. To qualify you just have to be aged 16 or over. Remember, we can’t provide this valuable service with-out your help. Please contact the Parish Office if you are interested.
