Confectionery The confectionery section has been redesigned with a new layout and developed contents, through the direct involvement of the sector Food Industry, Specialized Distribution, national and international Retail and the contribution of foreign Top Buyers.

Beer The Micro Malto project is back in 2014, developed in collaboration with the Assobirra association to understand the growth opportunities and consumer trends of the sector at the national and international level. A winning example of Made in Italy, beer has been able to keep its sales unchanged within a complex situation, thanks also to the contribution of artisanal microbreweries which, though representing a niche phenomenon, are taking on an increasingly important role in the spread of beer culture in our country.

Alma Caseus Organized by Alma – International School of Italian Cuisine -, the second edition of the Alma Caseus competition is dedicated to companies and professionals in the dairy sector. The initiative involves all sector professionals and assesses not only the size of the producer’s business and the origin of the milk being processed, but also the typology of the raw material employed and any thermal treatment it undergoes, with the aim of promoting the dairy heritage of our beautiful country.

Free From

Organic Food To highlight the Italian organic production on exhibition, the CibusBio project returns to seize the business opportunities of a rapidly growing market at the national and international level which, despite current consumer trends, is recording positive sale trends and attractive growth rates.

Free From Products with no yeast, no gluten and no lactose: Cibus 2014 will promote the production of “free from” foods that meet the new demands of ever wider sections and segments of consumers looking for a diet that meets their nutritional needs and to which private brands are increasingly dedicating specific product lines.

Cibus AwardCibus Award Organized in partnership with the Food group, this is the second edition of the award dedicated to foreign retailers who have best represented Made in Italy food excellence at an international level, promoting in an original way Italian products on their shelves to meet the demand for quality and highlight the identity of each product. The competition this year will again be employing the collaboration of specialists and knowledge partners for the reference markets.

Coffee

“Fourth Range” fruit and vegetables

Within the choreographic frame of Palacassa, in collaboration with the winemaker Luca Maroni, Fiere di Parma organizes CibusBollicine 2014: the sparkling wine cellar of Italian food. This thematic section will be subdivided into exhibition areas dedicated to the best Italian sparkling wines and demo areas for tastings and workshops.

Frozen Thanks to very high product quality, innovation and value for money, the frozen and ready-meal market maintains a primary role in the dishes chosen by Italians and foreign consumers showing their appreciation for the convenience of frozen products. To best promote the frozen sector, bringing the attention of professional visitors and others stakeholders to the important value they bring, the CIBUS Frozen project will be carried out again this year.

Coffee A project for promoting coffee, which will involve a specifically-designed exhibition area enriched by Show Bar exhibitions, Tasting Coffee sessions and workshops about trends and consumer markets.

“Fourth Range” fruit and vegetables This is a new section reserved to fourth range producers. In contrast to the general stagnation of the first range, the ready-made sector has recorded a strong increase in consumption, due to changes in lifestyle that increasingly lead consumers to look for fresh products distinguished by a high level of service.

“Pianeta Nutrizione& Integrazione”

Premium Store Brand

“Pianeta Nutrizione& Integrazione”Cibus will host the fifth edition of the interdisciplinary forum on healthy nutrition, which combines an exhibition section with the intervention of several scientific societies in order to delve into the themes related to a healthy and proper nutrition.

Food Service A working group, the expression of different types of professional expertise coming from all the different key areas of the sector (Business, Collective and On-Board catering, Specialized Distribution) to identify and analyze focuses and trends of the “Away from Home” sector and create a lounge area dedicated to its operators and professionals during Cibus 2014.

Premium Store Brand This is an integrated project for the promotion of premium store brands, developed in collaboration with the University of Parma and foreign Top Buyers. It organizes conferences and meetings aimed at analyzing distribution branding and the opportunities for development of the industry in foreign markets, with particular attention to the guarantee of protection of local products against “Italian sounding” ones.
