Subject : Typing Test for engagement/hiring of Temporary Junior Clerks in

Lok Sabha Secretariat.

Joint Recruitment Cell (Parliament of India) will he holding tying test of the

eligible candidates from amongst those whose names (received from Data Centre,

Directorate of Employment, Government of NCT of Delhi on a requisition of Lok

Sabha Secretariat) have been given in the Annexure-I to this notice on

Saturday, 22 nd

April, 2017 at 1000 hours onwards for engagement/hiring of 12

(02 English and 10 Hindi/bilingual) Temporary Junior Clerks in Lok Sabha Secretariat.

2. The candidates are requested to report at Reception Office, Parliament Library

Building, New Delhi-110001 (Opposite to Gurudwara Rakab Ganj Sahib) at 09.00 A.M.

sharp on the date of Typing Test.

3. The candidates will be required to qualify the Typing Test at the speed of 40

w.p.m. Preference will be given to persons qualifying typing test at 40 w.p.m. both in

English and Hindi. Not more than 5% errors will be allowed for passing the Typing

Test. The Test will be held on computer. For Hindi typing, the candidates are required

to type on computer on ‘Inscript’ or ‘Remington’ keyboard. It is clarified that in both the keyboards (while operating), the vowel signs (matras) are typed only after

typing the consonant as in ‘fnu = n + f + u’ and also after typing the full

consonant (not after half consonant) as in ‘n`f’V = n + ` + ’ + V + f ’.

4. Before appearing in the typing test, the candidates must ensure that she/he

possesses a Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university and also

not overage.

5. The category-wise maximum age limit (as on 10.04.2017) of the candidate is as

follows :-

(i) SC/ST : Upto 32 years

(ii) OBC* : Upto 30 years

(iii) GEN : Upto 27 years

*OBC candidates: Other Backward Classes means those communities as included and specified in the Central Government list of

the backward classes. OBC certificate of a candidate must show that the caste the candidate belongs to is recognized as OBC under various resolutions of the Ministry of Welfare, Government of India, and that the person does not belong to creamy layer section. A candidate claiming to be belonging to OBC but not submitting OBC certificate which satisfies these two conditions will be treated as General Category candidate and will not be provided any benefit available to OBC candidates.

6. Call letters alongwith an attestation cum attendance sheet are being issued to the

eligible candidates by Speed Post.

7. The Attestation cum attendance sheet is also given in Annexure-II to this

notice. The candidates (out of those mentioned in Para 1 above) who do not get

their admit card/call letter by post may take a print out of the attestation cum

attendance sheet and bring the same duly filled at the time of appearing for the

typing test.

They are also required to bring the original Mark Sheets and

Certificates/Degree of Educational Qualifications.

8. To facilitate entry to the venue of Typing Test, the candidate must also carry a

valid photo ID proof such as PAN Card/Passport/Voter ID/Driving Licence/Aadhaar

Card/Permanent Identity Card issued by a University/College or any other valid proof

of identification having her/his latest photograph at the time of appearing in the Typing

Test.

10. The candidature of all the candidates mentioned in para 01 above is provisional

and it can be cancelled at any time in case they do not satisfy the eligibility conditions

mentioned in Para 4 above. They are, therefore, required to satisfy themselves that

he/she fulfils the eligibility conditions for the test, before attending the typing test.

All the candidates are requested to check their eligibility for the post before appearing in the

Typing Test. The candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC category must bring proper

caste/category certificate issued in their own name. Otherwise, they will not be allowed any

age relaxation and if found overage as 'General' candidate, they will not be allowed to

appear in the examination.
