Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Happy Easter - Mừng Chúa Phục Sinh

The great sign the Gospel gives us

today is that Jesus' tomb is empty. We have to look no more among the

dead for He who is alive has risen. And his disciples, that later on will

see him risen, that is, will experience

him alive in a wonderful meeting in faith, also realize his tomb is empty.

An empty tomb and apparitions will be the great signs for the believer's

faith. The Gospel says that «finally the other disciple, who had reached

the tomb first, also went inside. He

saw and believed» (Jn 20:8). Through his faith he realizes that the

emptiness and the linen cloths lying flat and the napkin rolled up in its

place, were all signs God had been

there, signs of the new life. Love can see signals where others cannot and

small signs may suffice. «The other disciple whom Jesus loved» (Jn 20:2)

was led by the love he had received

from Christ. The “seeing and believing” of the

disciples must also be our aim. We renew our paschal faith. That Christ

be our Lord in everything we do. Let his Life revitalize ours and let us re-

new the grace of the baptism we

have received. Let us become his apostles and disciples. Let us be

guided by love and announce to all our happiness to believe in Christ.

Let us be hopeful witnesses of his

Resurrection. May the Glory of the Resurrection shine in our hearts to always to God will and celebrate Easter every day of our lives.

SUNDAY : EASTER SUNDAY SOLEMNITY OF THE RESURRECTION OF THE LORD APRIL 1, 2018

Queridos Hermanos y Hermanas:

Felices Pascuas de Resurrección

El gran signo que hoy nos da el

Evangelio es que el sepulcro de Jesús está vacío. Ya no tenemos que bus-

car entre los muertos a Aquel que vive, porque ha resucitado. Y los

discípulos, que después le verán Re-sucitado, es decir, lo experimentarán

vivo en un encuentro de fe maravillo-

so, captan que hay un vacío en el lugar de su sepultura. Sepulcro vacío

y apariciones serán las grandes seña-les para la fe del creyente. El Evan-

gelio dice que «entró también el otro

discípulo, el que había llegado el pri-mero al sepulcro; vio y creyó» (Jn

20,8). Supo captar por la fe que aquel vacío y, a la vez, aquella sába-

na de amortajar y aquel sudario bien doblados eran pequeñas señales del

paso de Dios, de la nueva vida. El

amor sabe captar aquello que otros no captan, y tiene suficiente con pe-

queños signos. El «discípulo a quien Jesús quería» (Jn 20,2) se guiaba por

el amor que había recibido de Cristo.

“Ver y creer” de los discípulos que han de ser también los nuestros. Re-

novemos nuestra fe pascual. Que Cristo sea en todo nuestro Señor.

Dejemos que su Vida vivifique a la

nuestra y renovemos la gracia del bautismo que hemos recibido. Hagá-

monos apóstoles y discípulos suyos. Guiémonos por el amor y anunciemos

a todo el mundo la felicidad de creer en Jesucristo. Seamos testigos espe-

ranzados de su Resurrección.

Que la Gloria del Señor Resucitado, ilumine nuestros corazones para que

celebremos continuamente la Pascua en vida cotidiana.

LA DIVINA MISERICORDIA

La misericordia es el núcleo central

del mensaje evangélico, es el nombre

mismo de Dios, el rostro con el que

se reveló en la Antigua Alianza y ple-

namente en Jesucristo, encarnación

del Amor creador y redentor. Este

amor de misericordia ilumina también

el rostro de la Iglesia y se manifiesta

mediante los sacramentos, especial-

mente el de la Reconciliación, y me-

diante las obras de caridad, comuni-

tarias e individuales. Que todo lo que

la Iglesia dice y realiza, manifieste la

misericordia que Dios tiene para con

el hombre.

quías cuentan con Coordinadores de

Ayuda a las Víctimas, asegurando que las víctimas de abuso sean escu-

chadas. En el año 2016, las diócesis y las eparquías brindaron ayuda y apo-

yo a 250 víctimas / sobrevivientes y

sus familias que se presentaron para reportar abusos. También se brindó

apoyo continuo a 1.510 víctimas / sobrevivientes y sus familias que de-

nunciaron abusos en años anteriores.
