Priests Farewell Mass & Function On August 24 th the Pastoral Council are holding a farewell function for Fr Kevin Donohoe and Fr Sean Maguire as they both leave our parish on Sept 1 st . The evening will start with Mass at 7.30pm in the Cathedral followed by function in Hotel Kilmore. The National Launch of the preparation for the 2018 World Meeting of Families takes place during the annual Novena in Knock on Monday 21 st August at 3pm. Throughout the day there will be a host of workshops and child friendly activities available. A great day out for all the family and as many as possible are encouraged to attend. Lough Derg – Diocesan Youth Pilgrimage Our Annual Diocesan youth day pilgrimage takes place on Thursday 17 th August. This day is open to all young people over sixteen years or who have completed Junior Cert. If you are interested in joining us on this pilgrimage please contact Jenny at the Presbytery - 049 4331404. Novena Programme 2017 – Knock Shrine Join in nine days of reflection and prayer for the National Novena to Our Lady of Knock from the 14 th -22 nd August. Ceremonies will take place daily at 3pm and 8.30pm with daily guest speakers and workshops at 12noon and 6pm in the Rest & Care Centre. See the full programme and schedule of speakers at www.knockshrine.ie/novena2017 Killygarry Apostolic Society invites sponsorship for Mass Kits and Sacred Vessels for use on the Missions. The programme will seek to increase the number of young organists and will be beneficial to local parishes as enrolment on the programme will require students to play in their local parish. The college is seeking individuals, families and parishes who would be willing to sponsor such a programme.
