Annual Catholic Appeal 2019 As of June 10th, parishioners have made 171 pledges totaling over $53,000 toward our goal of $61,883, or 87% of goal. Last year we ended with 265 pledges and exceeded our goal by $4,000. Help us reach and exceed last year's totals so we can better serve the pastoral and maintenance needs of our parish and people. Thank you for your responsible stewardship of God's gifts to us.

DE LA OFICINA DEL PASTOR FROM THE OGLE OFFICE Dear friends, During this month of June, we extend a word of congratulations to all the graduates of 2019 in our parish from our local primary and secondary schools and colleges, both public and private. We know the sacrifices that you, your parents and your teachers have made to reach this point will be richly rewarded as you use the gifts sand talents God has given you for His greater glory and for the service of your neighbor. Congratulations also to our recent graduates in the Lay Leadership Training program of the Diocesan Pastoral Institute of the Holy Spirit: Olga Vargas, Sergio Huerta and Guillermo Macias. That brings to 44 the number of lay leaders from our parish who have completed this certification program, one of the largest contingents in Diocesan history. Every one of them is or has been engaged on valuable ministry in our parish and truly help enrich the Body of Christ here. We also offer a word of thanks to our hard-working Super-Bingo Committee, headed by Ann Bruno, whose recent fund-raiser entertained 75 Bingo players and helped raise much needed funds for the parish. This has become a twice a year event since our anniversary year (along with the Scripture-Sharing groups), and we look forward to another one in the fall. We also thank our Spanish-speaking community for their recent food sales they sponsored to raise funds for their various ministries in the parish. As you know, we are in the midst of the Annual Catholic Appeal for 2019 which supports essential diocesan services that help serve so many needs in our parish. Every parish is assessed a goal to reach based on a percentage of total Sunday offerings for the year (not including rentals or other income). I am proud to say that our parish has almost always reached or exceeded our goal. Last year in 2018 as of June 11 (14 weeks in), we had 210 donors with $54,087 pledged toward our goal of $59,118, or 91.4% of that goal. Last year we had a total of 265 donors contributing a total of $63,444.03 – about $4,000 over the goal. That $4,000 stayed in the parish to help us with upgrading our drainage and flood-prevention in the lower church. The parish share of the ACA is far and away the largest single-fundraiser of our parish. Our goal was raised this year to $61, 883 after many years of being static. This year we’re a little behind our typical pace. This year as of June 10, the 17th week of the campaign, we have 171 donors who have pledged $53,908.25, or 87.1% of our goal. As you can see, we are about $8,000 short of our goal. I hope that many of you who have not yet made a pledge will consider doing so even now. The pledge envelopes are still available at the Church exits for your consideration. Please remember that monies collected in excess if our goal remain in the parish for our own needs, including the continuing repairs to our 148 year-old church building. I appeal particularly to new arrivals in our parish who may be unfamiliar with the campaign or its good works. I invite to take the place of a past donor who is unable to pledge this year; please consider making a pledge, no matter how insignificant you may think it is. If we all pull together we can certainly reach our goal and do our part to help our parish and diocese continue the help it always seeks to offer. Be assured that these donations are used only for the services outlined in the campaign material and never for any other purpose. Thanks to everyone for your support. Msgr. Sean G. Ogle

We have decided to change envelope company. Our new envelope company is Cathedral Corporation which is located in Rome, NY. We will begin with them starting with the July envelope mailing. We are hoping this will be a smooth transition; however, mistakes do happen. We ask for your patience and understanding during the transition. If for any reason you have a problem with your envelopes, please feel free to contact me and I will take care of it for you.

Thank you, Celeste Stewart
