PRAYER SHAWL MINISTRY
For the remaining months of 2019, the Prayer Shawl Ministry will
gather from 1:00-3:00pm in the Parish Center on: Thursday, Sep-
tember 26; Thursday, October 31; Thursday, November 21; and,
Thursday, December 5.
ROSARY MONTH
October is the month of the Rosary. Please join us for the
recitation of this most beautiful prayer. We will
meet at 7PM in church on Tuesdays: October 1, 8,
15, 22, & 29. All are welcome!
MATER CHRISTI SCHOOL BOARD
SEEKING NEW MEMBERS
The Mater Christi School Board consists of parish leaders, our
principal, parents of students and members of the Mater Christi
parish community. The Board meets monthly during the school
year and provides advice and counsel in the areas of strategic
planning, policy formation, institutional advancement, financial
planning and management. We are in need of seven new
members; are you willing to share your time and talents? If
so, we invite you to attend our School Board Discernment Retreat
to be held on Saturday, September 28
th
from 9:00 am to 12:00
noon in the Parish Center. A light lunch will follow. Please RSVP

MEANINGFUL VOLUNTEER WORK?
Our parish has many different opportunities to put your time and
talents to good use! In particular, the Mater Christi Food Pantry
needs more volunteers to assist our guests. For more infor-

BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT GROUP
The next meeting of the Mater Christi Spousal Support Group, for
those who have lost a spouse or significant other, will take place
on Wednesday, September 25, at 6:00 pm in the Parish Center
Room A. Meetings are every second and fourth Wednesday of

RACHEL’S VINEYARD RETREAT
Rachel's Vineyard Retreats have been a source of reconcilia-
tion and healing for thousands of women and men who have
suffered the painful after effects of abortion. If you know some-
one who would benefit from this healing experience, please let

DIOCESAN MARRIAGE JUBILEE
The 47th Annual Diocesan Marriage Jubilee Celebration will be
held Sunday, October 20th, 2019 at 2:00 PM at The Cathedral
of the Immaculate Conception in Albany. Couples celebrating
their 25th, 40th, 50th or other special wedding anniversaries
are invited to attend this celebration. Bishop Edward
B.Scharfenberger will celebrate the Mass at 2:00 PM and greet
couples and their guests at a reception in the gathering area at
the Cathedral immediately following Mass. Please register
