On behalf of the Mission Basilica Knights of Columbus 7519, Monsignor Paul Martin Council, we are pleased to announce that the Msgr. Paul Martin water well in rural Uganda has been drilled and completed, at the Ongongora Primary School.

The Knights of Columbus thank each Well donor of the Mission Basilica for making this possible.

The Mission Basilica Knights of Columbus teamed with the entire parish to fund this living Memorial to our beloved past pastor, Monsignor Paul Martin. Now for the next 50 years, our brothers and sisters living 9000 miles away will have clean and abundant drinking water, greatly improving their

health and opportunity for education. A big thank you is in order for the Parish, from the Knights of Columbus. Our sincere hope is that this Well enriches both the physical and spiritual lives of this community.

If you missed the opportunity to participate, and would like to start funding on a new well, please contact Greg Weiler or Steve Mandala. Greg Weiler 949 300 4581 Steve Mandala 949 413 4839 [email protected] [email protected]

April 26, 2015 † Fourth Sunday of Easter V MBS Faith Families Create A "Circle of Faith" The April Faith Family event took place this week. The MBS Faith Families Program allows students to pray and learn together across all grade levels. One student from each grade comprises a “family” with an 8th grade student in the role of the family leader. Each first Friday of the month, the Faith Families celebrate Mass together and then enjoy an activity with their family. This month, the families created a “circle of faith” on the playground using sidewalk chalk to draw a picture depicting what faith means to them. Each picture included the name of the family and one word that embodied the meaning of faith such as “love”, “Gospel”, “heart” and “family”. When their picture was complete they joined hands as the faith family leader led them in prayer. “I tell you the truth if you have faith as small as a mustard seed you can say to this mountain, move from here to there and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you” Matthew 17:20.

May 16 and 17 the Diocesan Department of Cemeteries will be here after all Masses distributing information about their services. The Catholic Cemeteries is providing a pre-need planning program for Catholic families in Orange County. Family burial arrangements are among the most important and inevitable decisions a Catholic must make. Because of the many emotional and financial savings that result by planning these arrangements in advance of need, the Diocese of Orange urges all Catholic families to learn about their burial options. The apostolic and administrative work of Catholic Cemeteries truly reflects the corporal and spiritual works of

estamos llamados a movernos “siempre adelante”.

Copyright © J. S. Paluch Co.
