Social skills are sets of behaviours that enable individuals to

interact with one another in ways that are socially acceptable.

Students will be taught social skills in a concrete, step-by-step

manner.

HOMEWORK GUIDELINES

– OBJECTIVES

Homework can:

reinforce learning and deepen understanding of lessons taught;

allow students to regularly practise, and apply skills and concepts

taught;

develop good study skills and habits;

encourage greater ownership and responsibility for independent

learning.

Students should:

• understand the purpose of homework and what is

expected of them;

• keep track of homework instructions and deadlines

in the handbook;

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF STUDENTS

• manage time well to ensure that homework is completed and

submitted on time;

• give his/her best effort in completing homework within agreed time;

• inform the teacher of any difficulties in completion of the

homework; and

• review feedback from teachers on homework submitted.

Parents can:

• create a conducive home environment for studying

and completion of homework;

• supervise and provide support for child’s learning;

• reinforce good study habits and attitudes

FTPPS HOMEWORK GUIDELINES

PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT AND SUPPORT

• be mindful of the stresses arising from school

homework and out-of-school activities, and help their

children prioritise their time among these activities;

• work in partnership with teachers to support child’s

learning and development.

PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT AND SUPPORT

1. Students must bring their handbook every day.

2. All homework will be written on the class whiteboard.

3. Students are to record important information into their

student handbook.

4. Parents are requested not to give too much assistance but

close monitoring is appreciated.

5. Do check your child’s Student Handbook every day.

6. Teacher will usually have homework or updates about

your child via the handbook. There may also be messages

for you.

7. Communication can be through the handbook.

The main objectives of the LTP (Literacy Through Photography)

programme are as follows:

1. To develop language, visual and global literacies through

photography.

2. To build the confidence of our students as they experience

success in their creative expressions.

P2 students will go through the introductory ukulele programme for 5

weeks during Music lessons. They will learn about:

1) Basic Ukulele chords

2) Playing simple tunes using basic chords

3) Introductory group play

Be in P.E. attire (P.E. T-shirt and P.E.

shorts) on P.E. days
