Parent Newsletter St. Anne’s Catholic School May 6, 2020 | Volume 1 | Issue 31 Important Dates PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE: Dear Parents, As we start the month of May we are asked as a Church to pay homage to Mary. Remember that Mary always seeks to be a bridge not a barrier to Her Divine Son our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! Don't ever feel afraid to approach her in prayer for grace, strength and her intercession to Jesus for your personal intentions. Our virtue of the month is Wisdom. Wisdom is the first and highest gift of the Holy Spirit. It makes the soul responsive to God in the contemplation of divine things. I have enjoyed seeing the students continue to live out the virtues and challenge them to keep sharing their at home ACTs cards with myself and their teachers. I also look forward to seeing the pictures and videos of students and families completing the Move a Thon on Friday May 8th. Have a blessed week and know that you are in my daily prayers. Mrs. Elizabeth Mar. MESSAGE FROM FR. BRANDON: Please see the weekly reflection from Father Brandon. https://stanneslodi.flocknote.com/note/7123644 ACTS CARDS AT HOME: Please see attached ACT’s cards for you to use at home as you see fit. BINGO UPDATE: The St. Anne's bingo program will remain closed through May 31, 2020 in compliance with the current shelter-in-place guidance for the state of California. We will send an updated announcement regarding the bingo schedule for June 2020 and beyond as soon as we know more. Bingo sign ups for next school year remain open and you may access the sign up sheet online at https://tinyurl.com/stannesbingo. If you already signed up for shifts in April or May 2020, we would encourage you to reschedule for dates beginning in June 2020. If you have not signed up for shifts yet, please select dates beginning in June 2020 and beyond. Please know that this may also change as we get more information from the governing entities. As a reminder, the bingo school year runs from May 1, 2020 - April 30, 2021. Families with 1 enrolled student must sign up for 5 shifts per year, and families with 2 or more enrolled students must sign up for 7 shifts per year. Due to Shelter in Place, we were unable to have our informative mandatory meeting. If you are interested in being a room parent next year, please email Kim Sauseda ([email protected]) indicating your name and the grade level you would like to work with next year. There will be an informative mandatory meeting via Zoom to answer all questions/concerns the week of May 11th. In your email please indicate which days/times work best for your family schedule. As always, we will try and accommodate the best we can, breaking the meetings up K-4, 5-8 so we all don't have to sit through such a long meeting. Please notify Kim by Friday, May 8th of your desired class. Hope you are all staying safe and healthy, and we look forward to connecting with you very soon.
