Dear Parents/Guardians

It has been an amazing opportunity during these last 16 weeks to be a part of Mrs. Schreck’s 5th

grade classroom. My last day with the students will be Friday, December 11th and I will graduate from Drake University on Saturday, December 19th. My current plans are to work as a substitute teacher throughout the upcoming Spring semester and search for a full time teaching position. for next Fall. I will miss seeing your child’s face every day here at South Union          I have had many memorable experiences teaching the children during my time in their classroom. Science is my endorsement area and I am very proud at some of the activities we have done in the classroom so far this year. I’m sure you may have heard chatter of Mars, the Hex Bugs, Space Matter, or creating a plant shipping container for NASA. It has been wonderful to see their imagination and creativity take off during these lessons and I am very proud of their accomplishments.

Before leaving I would like to take this opportunity to thank you and your child for being a part of this experience of mine. I have learned so much from all of them as I hope they have learned from me. I look forward to seeing where the future takes them and will be back to visit them after Winter Break. This class will always be special to me and they were on the road with me while I completed this journey.

Thank you,

Mrs. Harmon
