Course Registration Process
Jan 27 : Teacher recommendations Feb 3 : Parent/Student requests Feb 13 - 24: BDHS counselors meet
with students individually to schedule classes for next year
Feb 27 : BDHS counselors begin to visit feeder middle schools to register rising 9th grade students
June 1 : “Dummy” schedules mailed June 15 : Final date to request a
schedule change
Registration Process cont.
All students (9th through 12th) must sign up for 7 courses plus 2 alternate courses.
Juniors and Seniors may choose to sign up for an Office Aide position (no credit) and/or Early Release at this time, forms are available online
Students will not be able to sign up for specific Teacher Aide positions until September 2012 but may turn in Teacher Aide Intent form now (available online)
A parent/guardian must sign any Office Aide, Early Release and Teacher Aide Intent forms
Advanced Studies Diploma Requirements for Seniors
(entered 9th grade in 2009-2010) 4 English 4 Math (Alg I pt 1 does count as a math
credit) 4 Science 4 History 3 Foreign Language (or 2 years of 2
different languages) 2 Health/PE 1 Fine Art or Career/Tech Ed elective Additional electives Total of 24 credits
Standard Diploma Requirements for Seniors
