Class Swimming Each class has a swimming session each day and all of the children are expected to take part. The pool

temperature is currently 24 degrees. With daily swims the progress the children are making is already noticeable.

Swimming Sports / School Tryathlon We are waiting for the dates of the Golden Bay Schools Swimming Sports which is for

all 7-11yr olds who can swim a length of the High School Pool. Once the date has been

decided we will be able to plan a date for our School Tryathlon which will be held at the

Golden Bay Top 10 Holiday Park. Prior to the swimming sports we will take the children

to the GBHS pool for training.

The Junior rooms will hold a swimming demonstration towards the end of the swim

season.

Rm 1 showed the sketches they had been working on and what they needed to focus on while sketching

Guitar Tuition with Levity Beet for students in Year 5/6

Small group lessons will be on

Thursday afternoons.

New students can borrow a school

guitar.

Returning students are expected to

sort out their own guitar.

Students pay a term fee based on around $6 per week.

School terms are of differing lengths so a term fee will

be $30 -$48 depending on how many weeks Levity is

there for.

Levity is always away the last two weeks of term so the

guitar course is shorter than the full term length.

Students must bring a clear-file folder to keep materials

in and bring the school or their own guitars to school

each Thursday.

Room Five - Reading This week we got to choose our own novels. I chose “The Butterfly Lion” written by Michael Morpurgo. There is a little white lion from the wild in Africa, which they are taming. It is special because they have never seen a white lion before. By Iyla I am excited about reading “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix” which I started this week. I really like Harry Potter because I’ve watched the movies. I need to watch five more. By Trey
