Achieving Success Together
Dear Parents and Carers, Well done to our Year 11 students who have just completed their second round of mock GCSEs. They have shown outstanding effort throughout this exam practice and all of their hard work will be hugely beneficial to them in the coming weeks. HALF-TERM REVISION To help Key Stage 4 and 5 students achieve their best results in the Summer exams, a comprehensive programme of support sessions will run during the half-term holiday. A reminder of the schedule is included on Page 3. There are many ways you can support your child with their revision at home, including helping them to find a quiet space to work with no distractions; encouraging them to stick to a revision timetable that is split into manageable chunks and ensuring they make time for exercise, fresh air, healthy food and sleep.

YEAR 10 MENTORING PROGRAMME
This half-term saw the launch of the BEE mentoring scheme at the school for a number of Year 10 students. Local business professionals will regularly meet the students over the course of the academic year and intend to positively impact their confidence and self-esteem, in addition to improving their GCSE results.
MINISTER FOR EDUCATION VISIT We were delighted to welcome the Minister for Education from the British Virgin Islands, Dr. the Honorourable Natalio D. Wheatley, during his official visit to the UK at the end of January. Minister Wheatley visited OSA classrooms as part of a learning visit with the aim of implementing SEND provision and successful behaviour support for children in the British Virgin Islands. I was extremely proud of how engaged and focused all students were in their lessons during the visit – they were truly ambassadors for the school. Further information regarding the Minister’s recent visits to the UK can be found on the following press release: https://bvi.gov.vg/media-centre/dr-honourable-e-natalio-wheatley-makes-first-official-visit-united-kingdom
