Corporation Limited (MKCL), Pune; University of Rajasthan; Jaipur, Maharana Pratap

University of Agriculture and Technology, Udaipur; Vardhaman Mahaveer Open University,

Kota; Rajcomp Info Services Ltd. and Centre for e-governance.

It was incorporated on 25th April 2008 under the Companies Act, 1956 having CIN U 80302

The main objective of company is to develop a new educational framework which can plan,

implement, supervise and regulate the developing needs for IT skills in the 21st century in the

State of Rajasthan by promoting the IT enabled education programs as practiced in the

Departments of School, Higher, Technical and Medical Education, Government of Rajasthan

and to take all such action as may be deemed to be necessary to provide high quality education

including better connectivity, computer skills and co-ordination amongst all educational

institutions, universities, students and the Government, as well as to obtain sponsorships,

institutional backups and financial support for the present and future programs and

responsibilities accepted on behalf of the State Government.

All the IT Literacy and Functionality programs are being offered through a network of IT

Gyan Kendras spread over the metropolitan, urban, semi-urban and also the rural, tribal and

by Dept. of Information Technology and Communication (DoIT&C), Govt. of Rajasthan to

propagate IT Literacy among the people of Rajasthan.

In order to bridge the Digital Divide, RKCL has launched an IT friendly course for the people

of Rajasthan. RS-CIT is a high quality and low cost IT literacy program which offers a novel

curriculum, excellent study material and learning management system in both local Hindi

language and English. A state-of-the-art delivery mechanism leads to State University

governed Examination and Certification.

Course Objective

To empower citizens with fundamental understanding of Information Technology (I.T.) at

affordable cost, acquiring essential skills to begin computing with confidence, be more

productive at home and work and able to explore career opportunities globally.

Eligibility: Anyone who is literate & has keen desire to learn Computer & Information

Technology

Course Duration: 3 Months or 132 Hours (2 hours per day 1 Hour Practical and 1 Hour
