Identifying pairs of Lines and Angles Parallel lines: Two lines that do not intersect are either parallel lines or
skew lines; two lines are parallel if they do not intersect and are coplanar, always the same distance apart.
Skew lines: Two lines that do not intersect are either parallel lines or skew lines; two lines that do not intersect and are not coplanar
Parallel planes: Two planes that do not intersect are parallel planes; always the same distance apart.
Transversal: is a line that intersects two or more coplanar lines at different points.
Corresponding angles: When a transversal intersects two lines, corresponding angles are on the same side of the transversal and on the same side of the given line.
Alternate interior angles: when a transversal intersects two lines, alternate interior angles are on opposite sides of the transversal and on the same side of the given lines.
Alternate exterior angles: When a transversal intersect two lines, alternate exterior angles are on opposite sides of the transversal and on the outside of he given line.
Consecutive interior angles: (same side interior angles) a transversal intersects two lines, same side interior angles are on the same side of the transversal and on the inside of the given line.
Vertical angles: two angles whose sides form 2 pairs of opposite rays.
