Fighting for Freedomn may 1961, the first freedom riders headed south on buses

from all over the country to fi ght segregation. They faced angry mobs who beat them and fi rebombed their buses , but 450 volunteers persevered for the next fi ve months. “Walking into the ‘Whites Only’ waiting room in the Jack-

son, Mississippi, train station was chilling,” recalls Helen Singleton, 78, who spent 39 days in jail for her actions. “But back then, my family couldn’t stop for lunch or use a rest-room on a 14-hour car trip to visit my grandmother. We had to do something about hate in America.” The Freedom Riders’ bravery paid off—segregation was ultimately struck down. “We took the fi ght for civil liberties out of the courtroom and into the streets,” says Roy Innis, national chairman of the Congress of Racial Equality, which organized the fi rst bus protests. “Black and white Americans stood together and put themselves on the line to make the world a better place for our children.” One of those children was Barack Obama—born in August 1961, just a few months after the Freedom Rides began. PBS will air the documentary Freedom Riders on May 16. —Lynn Schnurnberger

P BooksSTORIES I ONLY TELL

MY FRIENDS

by Rob Lowe, memoir ($26)

The world would be a better place if more stars’ memoirs were like Lowe’s—chatty, dishy, and with celebrity walk-ons (Tom Cruise! Sarah Jes-sica Parker! Princess Stepha-nie of Monaco! Martin Sheen!) galore. As entertaining as a Brat Pack fi lm festival.

THE WILDER LIFE

by Wendy McClure, nonfiction ($26)

Like many women, McClure grew up loving the Little House

on the Prairie books. In adult-hood, her adoration blos-somed into all-out obsession. This book details her often comical quest to connect with the spirit of Laura Ingalls Wilder as she travels to the

author’s homesteads and tackles pioneer tasks like churning butter. By journey’s end, she’s discovered the authentic beauty in Wilder’s far-from-storybook real life.

P DVDsTRACY & HEPBURN:

THE DEFINITIVE

COLLECTION ($60)

The sublime screen team of Spencer Tracy and Katharine Hepburn made nine fi lms together, from Woman of the

Year to Guess Who’s Coming to

Sea of Grass. Perfect for moms and other romantics.

IN YOUR DREAMS

from Stevie Nicks ($13)

Nicks’s husky voice and eclectic poetry—her inspira-tions range from Italy to the Twilight fi lms—lend weight to the ethereal rock melodies on her fi rst studio album in 10 years. Especially memorable: “Secret Love,” written in the 1970s, and the moody, Dylan-esque “New Orleans.”

Q: Someone in my o ce wears low-cut tops that are inappropriate for work. I don’t know where to look when I talk to her.

Advice? —John R., Boston

A: You could crank up the AC, but if you don’t want to force your colleagues to work in a meat locker, the best solution, says Beverly Weinstein, a re-cruiter and the president of Mark ham Media, is “to have a senior female executive take the woman aside and gently talk to her about what works for an offi ce environment.” There’s no need for the con-versation to be accusatory; it should be along the lines of, “It’s natural for people to stare at nice-looking fi gures, but you don’t want to be distracting.” To avoid any potential misun-derstanding, it’s important that a woman exec give the talk, not a man. —Judith Newman

Ask your doctor if ZETIA is right for you.

An inside look at a different

way to help lower cholesterol.

A healthy diet and exercise are important,

but sometimes they’re not enough to get

your cholesterol where it needs to be. ZETIA

can complement your efforts. When added

to a healthy diet, ZETIA can lower bad

cholesterol (LDL) by an average of 18%.

Individual results may vary.

Important Risk Information About ZETIA:

ZETIA is a prescription medicine and should

not be taken by people who are allergic to

any of its ingredients. If you have ever had

liver problems, are nursing or pregnant or

may become pregnant, a doctor will decide

if ZETIA alone is right for you.

Unexplained muscle pain or weakness could

be a sign of a rare but serious side effect and

should be reported to your doctor right away.

In clinical studies, patients reported few side

effects while taking ZETIA. These included

diarrhea, joint pains, and tiredness.

You are encouraged to report negative side

effects of prescription drugs to the FDA. Visit

www.fda.gov/medwatch, or call 1-800-FDA-1088.

ZETIA® (EZETIMIBE) TABLETS

PATIENT INFORMATION ABOUT ZETIA (zet -e-a)Generic name: ezetimibe (e-zet -e-mıb)

Read this information carefully before you start taking ZETIA and each time you get more ZETIA. There may be new information. This information does not take the place of talking with your doctor about your medical condition or your treatment. If you have any questions about ZETIA, ask your doctor. Only your doctor can determine if ZETIA is right for you.

WHAT IS ZETIA?

ZETIA is a medicine used to lower levels of total cholesterol and LDL (bad) cholesterol in the blood. ZETIA is for patients who cannot control their cholesterol levels by diet and exercise alone. It can be used by itself or with other medicines to treat high cholesterol. You should stay on a cholesterol-lowering diet while taking this medicine.

ZETIA works to reduce the amount of cholesterol your body absorbs. ZETIA does not help you lose weight. ZETIA has not been shown to prevent heart disease or heart attacks.

For more information about cholesterol, see the “What should I know about high cholesterol?” section that follows.

WHO SHOULD NOT TAKE ZETIA?

$ %)&"ingredient in ZETIA, or to the inactive ingredients. For a list of inactive ingredients, see the “Inactive ingredients” section that follows.

 & %)&" cholesterol-lowering medicines called statins.

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, do not take ZETIA while taking a statin.

& effective method of birth control to prevent pregnancy while using ZETIA added to statin therapy.

ZETIA has not been studied in children under age 10.

WHAT SHOULD I TELL MY DOCTOR BEFORE AND WHILE TAKING ZETIA?

Tell your doctor about any prescription and non-prescription medicines you are taking or plan to take, including natural or herbal remedies.

Tell your doctor about all your medical conditions including allergies.

Tell your doctor if you:

 %)&"

are pregnant or plan to become pregnant. Your doctor will discuss with you whether ZETIA is right for you.

  * %)&" baby through your milk. Your doctor will discuss with you whether ZETIA is right for you.

experience unexplained muscle pain, tenderness, or weakness.

HOW SHOULD I TAKE ZETIA?

)%)&" &remember to take your dose if you do it at the same time every day, such as with breakfast, dinner, or at bedtime. If you also take another medicine to reduce your cholesterol, ask your doctor if you can take them at the same time.

&%)&" However, do not take more than one dose of ZETIA a day.

 # ZETIA. Ask your doctor if you need diet information.

' %)&" &important that you keep taking ZETIA even if you do not feel sick.

See your doctor regularly to check your cholesterol level and to check for side effects. Your doctor may do blood tests to check your liver before you start taking ZETIA with a statin and during treatment.

WHAT ARE THE POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS OF ZETIA® (EZETIMIBE)?

In clinical studies patients reported few side effects while taking ZETIA. These included diarrhea, joint pains, and feeling tired.

Patients have experienced severe muscle problems while taking ZETIA, usually when ZETIA was added to a statin drug. If you experience unexplained muscle pain, tenderness, or weakness while taking ZETIA, contact your doctor immediately. You need to do this promptly, because on rare occasions, these muscle problems can be serious, with muscle breakdown resulting in kidney damage.

Additionally, the following side effects have been reported in general use: allergic reactions (which may require treatment right away) including swelling of the face, lips, tongue, and/or throat that may cause difficulty in breathing or swallowing, rash, and hives; raised red rash, sometimes with target-shaped lesions; joint pain; muscle aches; alterations in some laboratory blood tests; liver problems; stomach pain; inflammation of the pancreas; nausea; dizziness; tingling sensation; depression; headache; gallstones; inflammation of the gallbladder.

Tell your doctor if you are having these or any other medical problems while on ZETIA. For a complete list of side effects, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

WHAT SHOULD I KNOW ABOUT HIGH CHOLESTEROL?

# +cholesterol is made up of LDL and HDL cholesterol.

LDL cholesterol is called “bad” cholesterol because it can build up in the wall of your arteries and form plaque. Over time, plaque build-up can cause a narrowing of the arteries. This narrowing can slow or block blood flow to your heart, brain, and other organs. High LDL cholesterol is a major cause of heart disease and one of the causes for stroke.

HDL cholesterol is called “good” cholesterol because it keeps the bad cholesterol from building up in the arteries.

Triglycerides also are fats found in your blood.

GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT ZETIA

Medicines are sometimes prescribed for conditions that are not mentioned in patient information leaflets. Do not use ZETIA for a condition for which it was not prescribed. Do not give ZETIA to other people, even if they have the same condition you have. It may harm them.

This summarizes the most important information about ZETIA. If you would like more information, talk with your doctor. You can ask your pharmacist or doctor for information about ZETIA that is written for health professionals.

the same recipes my mom served, like

roast chicken. I recently asked her to

write them down, because I end up

calling her throughout the day to ask

questions. But she probably won’t,

because I think she enjoys the calls.

What else do you do on Sundays?

There’s no sleeping in with a 3-year-

old! It depends on what city I’m in,

but we have our favorite breakfast

places. I get coffee and poached eggs

with some almost burnt sausage,

and I’ll let my son have waffl es or

pancakes. But not during the week.

You once wanted to be a

dentist. Why?

I was really into brushing

and fl ossing. Very random,

I know. And I love dentists. I had the

same one the entire time I was growing

up, and I’ve had the same dentist in

New York for 20 years. I’m loyal.

What’s your favorite way to unwind?

You don’t have those moments often

after you have a kid. But there are

times when my son might be with his

dad, and I’ll fi nally read the book that’s

been sitting there. I just started

The Elegance of the Hedgehog.

Do you ever kick back with some

mindless reality TV?

I’m anti–reality television. A lot of

those shows focus on people get-

ting 15 minutes of fame for all the

wrong reasons, and it’s not a

great infl uence on kids. I was in

Washington recently doing a read-

ing program for the National Edu-

cation Association, and a Real

Housewife of Beverly Hills was there

[Adrienne Maloof]. A lot of the kids—

7, 8 years old—knew who she was

and watch her program. I was

shocked. That’s very mature material

for young kids.

How did you feel about turning 40

this past Thursday?

It’s just another year. I’m in the best

shape of my life, I’ve got a great career,

great son, great boyfriend—I really

can’t complain about anything. And all

my girlfriends who are 40 look better

than most 22-year-olds. I think it’s a

great age for women. I certainly would

never want to be 20 again.

Which Sex and the City character

would you like to have played

besides your own?

Carrie, of course. Sarah

Jessica Parker’s role was so

complex. I don’t think I would’ve

been as comfortable playing Sa-

mantha. There’s no way I could’ve

put my family through [all the

If human life were

to vanish from

Earth, leaving only

animals and plants,

how long would

it take for the environment

to return to a pristine state?

—Rod Strass burg, Winston-Salem, N.C.

buildings, roads, dams,

and bridges would become ruins in just a few centuries, but they’d take thousands of years to disappear entirely. Meanwhile, nuclear waste in long-term storage would gradually become harmless. Without human attention, our hundreds of active reactors would catch fi re or melt down and release radiation, but even that wouldn’t stop nature’s rapid return. (Many plants and animals seem to be fl our-ishing in the contaminated area around Chernobyl, the scene of a nuclear disaster in Ukraine only 25 years ago.) Excess carbon dioxide would be cleansed by the oceans over tens of thousands of years. By then, added methane would be long gone. The toxic impact of pollutants such as DDT wouldn’t last even a century. So the planet would forget all about us in maybe 50,000 years—far less time than humankind has existed. And if an unaltered atmosphere isn’t an essential part of what you call a pristine state, our infl uence would be gone in less than half that time—and maybe much less.

This leaflet does not take the place of talking with the doctor about Alzheimer’s disease or treatment for it. If you have questions, ask the doctor or pharmacist.

What is ARICEPT?ARICEPT comes as ARICEPT film-coated tablets in dosage strengths of 5 mg, 10 mg, and 23 mg, and as ARICEPT Orally Disintegrating Tablets (ODT; 5 mg and 10 mg). Except where indicated, all the information about ARICEPT in this leaflet also applies to ARICEPT ODT.

ARICEPT is a prescription medicine to treat mild, moderate and severe Alzheimer’s disease. ARICEPT can help with mental function and with doing daily tasks. ARICEPT does not work the same in all people. Some people may: • Seem much better • Get better in small ways or stay the same • Get worse over time but slower than expected • Not change and then get worse as expected

ARICEPT does not cure Alzheimer’s disease. All patients with Alzheimer’s disease get worse over time, even if they take ARICEPT.

ARICEPT has not been approved as a treatment for any medical condition in children.

Who should not take ARICEPT?The patient should not take ARICEPT if allergic to any of the ingredients in ARICEPT or to medicines that contain piperidines. Ask the patient’s doctor if you are not sure. See the end of this leaflet for a list of ingredients in ARICEPT.

What should I tell the doctor before the patient takes ARICEPT?Tell the doctor about all the patient’s present or past health problems. Include:

Tell the doctor about all the medicines the patient takes, including prescription and non-prescription medicines, vitamins, and herbal products. ARICEPT and other medicines may affect each other.

Be particularly sure to tell the doctor if the patient takes aspirin or medicines called nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). There are many NSAID medicines, both prescription and non-prescription. Ask the doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure if any of the patient’s medicines are NSAIDs. Taking NSAIDs and ARICEPT together may make the patient more likely to get stomach ulcers.

ARICEPT taken with certain medicines used for anesthesia may cause side effects. Tell the responsible doctor or dentist that the patient takes ARICEPT before the patient has: • surgery • medical procedures • dental surgery or procedures.

Know the medicines that the patient takes. Keep a list of all the patient’s medicines. Show it to the doctor or pharmacist before the patient starts a new medicine.

How should the patient take ARICEPT? • Give ARICEPT exactly as prescribed by the doctor. Do not stop ARICEPT or change

the dose yourself. Talk with the doctor first. • Give ARICEPT one time each day. ARICEPT can be taken with or without food. • ARICEPT 23 mg tablets should be swallowed whole without the tablets being split,

crushed or chewed.

• ARICEPT ODT melts on the tongue. The patient should drink some water after the tablet melts.

• If you miss giving the patient a dose of ARICEPT, just wait. Give only the next dose at the usual time. Do not give 2 doses at the same time.

• If ARICEPT is missed for 7 days or more, talk with the doctor before starting again. • If the patient takes too much ARICEPT at one time, call the doctor or poison

control center, or go to the emergency room right away.

What are the possible side effects of ARICEPT?ARICEPT may cause the following serious side effects: • slow heartbeat and fainting. This happens more often in people with heart

problems. Call the doctor right away if the patient faints while taking ARICEPT. • more stomach acid. This raises the chance of ulcers and bleeding, especially when

taking ARICEPT 23 mg. The risk is higher for patients who had ulcers, or take aspirin or other NSAIDs.

• worsening of lung problems in people with asthma or other lung disease. • seizures. • difficulty passing urine.

Call the doctor right away if the patient has:

The most common side effects of ARICEPT are:

These side effects may get better after the patient takes ARICEPT for a while. This is not a complete list of side effects with ARICEPT. For more information, ask the doctor or pharmacist.

How should ARICEPT be stored ?Store ARICEPT at room temperature between 59° to 86°F (15° to 30°C).

Keep ARICEPT and all medicines out of the reach of children.

General information about ARICEPTMedicines are sometimes prescribed for conditions that are not mentioned in this Patient Information Leaflet. Do not use ARICEPT for a condition for which it was not prescribed. Do not give ARICEPT to people other than the patient, even if they have the same symptoms as the patient, as it may harm them.

This leaflet summarizes the most important information about ARICEPT. If you would like more information talk with the patient’s doctor. You can ask your pharmacist or doctor for information about ARICEPT that is written for health professionals. For more information, go to www.ARICEPT.com, or call 1-800-760-6029.

“Well, I finally did it. I finally decided to enter the digital ageand get a cell phone. My kids have been bugging me, mybook group made fun of me, and the last straw was when mycar broke down, and I was stuck by the highway for an hourbefore someone stopped to help. But when I went to the cellphone store, I almost changed my mind. e phones are sosmall I can’t see the numbers, much less push the right one.ey all have cameras, computers and a “global-positioning”something or other that’s supposed to spot me from space. Goodness, all I want to do is to be ableto talk to my grandkids! e people at the storeweren’t much help. ey couldn’t understand whysomeone wouldn’t want a phone the size of apostage stamp. And the rate plans! ey werecomplicated, confusing, and expensive… and thecontract lasted for two years! I’d almost given upwhen a friend told me about her new Jitterbugphone. Now, I have the convenience and safety ofbeing able to stay in touch… with a phone I canactually use.”

e cell phone that’s right for me. SometimesI think the people who designed this phoneand the rate plans had me in mind. ephone fits easily in my pocket, but it flipsopen and reaches from my mouth to myear.e display is large and backlit, so Ican actually see who is calling. With a push of a button I can amplify the volume, and if I don’t know a number,I can simply push “0” for a friendly, helpful operator that will look it up andeven dial it for me. e Jitterbug also reduces background noise, making thesound loud and clear. ere’s even a dial tone, so I know the phone is ready to use.

Affordable plans that I can understand – and no contract to sign! Unlike other cell phones, Jitterbug has plans that make sense. Why should I pay for minutesI’m never going to use? And if I do talk more than I plan, I won’t find myself with no minutes like my friend who hasa prepaid phone. Best of all, there is no contract to sign –so I’m not locked in for years at a time or subject to

termination fees. e U.S.–based customer service is second to none, and the phone gets service

virtually anywhere in the country.

many people long for a

father’s love. I had it, and I have it still. As charming a star and as remarkable a gentleman as he was, Cary Grant was a more thought-ful and loving father. For the last 20 years of his life, I had the privi-lege of experiencing the full, vital passion of his heart. I wrote my new book, Good Stuff, to share my memories of what made my father so very special. Here are some cherished photos and mementos from our time together.

Left: I can still feel the perfect ease of our summer days in the Hamp-tons: swimming, boating, reading, tennis, backgam-mon, and burgers by the pool; us in 1973. Right: We both enjoyed riding. In this photo, I love how gently he regarded my seriousness as I prepared for a Malibu horse competition in 1978 or 1979.

Below: Enjoying a summer day at home in 1979. Few men in their 70s looked as good as my father did. What was his secret? Genes, maybe, since he didn’t exercise or diet, and he kept a candy drawer, drank a pot of black coffee every day, and read in the mid-dle of the night. Still, he took such joy in being a dad—and in life in gen-eral—and his happiness showed.

Below: Here’s a page from an alphabet book Dad crafted for me. Because his childhood archives were destroyed in World War I, he had a bank-quality vault placed in our home to ensure that my records were preserved for me. I have boxes of cassette tapes, movies, slides, photos, notes— even the fi rst fl ower I picked for him.

When I was a kid, chalupas were like our

PB & Js after school. They didn’t require a lot of cooking, because my mom would have the beans and tostadas (crisp, fried torti-llas) ready for us. It was all about assembly. And they were kid-friendly—we could add cheese or whatever we wanted to build them the way we liked.

I remember being so small and thinking our kitchen was huge—it was always the busiest room in the house. But I went back to look at it recently, and in fact it was so tiny! I mean, really, you could reach out your hands and touch wall to wall. I thought, “How did my mom feed fi ve hungry mouths out of this itty-bitty kitchen?” And it was noisy! People say I have a really loud voice, and that’s be-cause I’ve always had to fi ght my sisters for attention. They speak loudly in order to be heard, so I’ve always had to speak loudly, too!

DIY Snacks

Just in time for Cinco de Mayo, Eva Longoria shares a favorite dish

Chalupas

½ cup vegetable oil, or as needed

8 corn tortillas4 cups shredded

lettuce1½ cups grated

queso fresco or cheddar cheese (about 6 oz)

¾ cup sour cream

1 large tomato, diced

2 avocados, pitted, peeled, and diced

2 cups refried beans , warmed

2 cups cooked, shredded chicken, warmed

1. Line a baking sheet with paper towels. In a large skillet, heat oil until shimmery and hot. Fry tortillas one at a time until fi rm, 1 minute per side. Transfer to baking sheet; cool 5 minutes.2. Place lettuce, cheese, sour cream, tomato, and avocado in separate serving bowls.3. Spread beans on each tortilla. Sprinkle chicken on top. Arrange chalupas on a platter; serve with toppings on the side.

“I could have chalupas with just beans and cheese—that’s all you really need. But you can also get creative with them and make them your own.”

Eva’s Tips

egf

P “For added heat, I use pico de gallo, a fresh, uncooked con-diment made from tomatoes, onions, and chiles. Bottled hot sauce is also good for kicking things up.”

P “Beans are the glue that binds the corn tortilla to the other ingredients, so they’re a must. After that, you can add ground turkey or cut-up skirt steak or even vegan ingredients, if you want.”

Views Parade.com/views By Connie Schultz

Thanks to a young waiter, I only recently discovered that a friend of 20 years was

once a yo-yo virtuoso. “Oh, stop it!” Jackie said when I

started laughing during our dinner at the Mad Greek in Cleveland Heights. “I was, too. I had a Dun-can Butterfl y yo-yo and—aaand—I knew how to ‘Walk the Dog.’ ”

“Wow, really?” said our waiter, Jumario Simmons, fl ashing a big smile at us.

“Don’t encourage her,” I said.“What else could you do?” he

asked. “I did ‘Round the World,’ ” Jack-

ie said, now ignoring me com-pletely. “That cradle thing, too.”

This stunning revelation un-furled after I’d asked Jumario what he did when he wasn’t waiting on tables. The lanky 24-year-old was so smart and witty that I knew there had to be more to his story.

Turns out he won a regional yo-yo competition last year. He also gives free lessons to kids. “It gives them something to do,” Jumario said. “Keeps them off the streets.”

One of the great things about eat-ing out is this kind of impromptu table talk with strangers, which re-minds us that everyone has a life and a name. But the other day I heard on NPR that some restaurants are ex-tinguishing this oh-so-human inter-action between diners and servers. I listened to the reporter describe how

these establishments are allowing customers to text orders from their tables to speed up service.

The reporter got my attention with this sentence: “Five minutes after typing ‘I’m at table 3. I want a tossed salad with ranch dressing,’ a meal arrives at the table.”

Forget for a moment—and only for a moment—that there wasn’t a “please” with this order. Which should have been a request, by the way. If you’ve ever waited on ta-bles, you know that the last thing you need is yet another way for a customer to be obnoxious.

are going to take fl ight, and soon.Texting a server from a table a

few feet away is the modern-day equivalent of snapping our fi ngers and shouting, “Hey, you!” It was rude in 1957, and it’s rude now. And if you think you’re too busy or important to endure a three-minute interaction with another human being, boy, does life have some surprises in store for you.

You won’t ever fi nd me texting a waiter or waitress. I’m selfi sh that way. I never know when I’ll meet a server who reminds me life is lived one glorious moment at a time.

Individuals like Jumario Sim-mons, who whipped out a Duncan Imperial yo-yo and, for 60 seconds, cast a spell on two middle-aged women one night in Cleveland.

Jackie giggled as he rattled off the names of yo-yo tricks: “Eli Hops.” “Arm Grind.” “The Green Triangle.” Then he served us coffee and bowed farewell.

I turned and stared at Jackie. “Twenty years I’ve known you,”

I said. “Twenty years, and you never once mentioned this.”

“You never asked,” she said, smoothing her napkin.

One second…two seconds…“You should have seen me with

a Pogo Stick,” she said. “Nobody jumped higher. Nobody.”

Most servers already cater to our every epicurean whim while balancing trays the size of UFOs. They’re constantly mediating be-tween customers’ requests for sub-stitutions and overworked cooks’ accusations of treason. Except at high-end restaurants, servers also have to hover like mothers of pre-schoolers so that we might deem them worthy of a large enough tip to lift their pay to minimum wage .

Now, add to this stress the fl ur-ry of text messages from people with the manners of feral cats. My prediction: Some of those UFOs

2 EGGS, OVR EZ, HLD BCNAt some restaurants, you can now text your order to your waiter.

This, my fellow Americans, is not progress.

Pomegranates: The gift of health.

For thousands of years, pomegranates have

been recognized for their contributions

to health and well-being. To the ancient

Persians, they offered the promise of

invincibility. To the Greeks, pomegranates

symbolized fertility. In ancient Egypt, King

Tut was entombed with a pomegranate-

shaped vase. So why did so many

civilizations hold the pomegranate in

such high esteem?

For the answer, we can look to modern

science. Chemical analysis has revealed that

pomegranates contain uniquely high levels

of several different polyphenol antioxidants.

Two of them, punicalagin and punicalin, are

not found in any other food.

P∂Mx is an all-natural antioxidant

supplement extracted from the same

California-grown, Wonderful variety

pomegranates we use to make P∂M

Wonderful® 100% Pomegranate Juice.

Containing a full spectrum of pomegranate

polyphenols, P∂Mx is so concentrated

that just one 1000 mg capsule has the

antioxidant power of a full glass of P∂M

Wonderful juice.

The power of P∂Mx.

It seems that every day some new

“superfood” makes the news with a flurry

of hype and hope. However, independent

laboratory studies comparing P∂Mx to

other antioxidant supplements found

the free radical fighting power of P∂Mx

superior to all the supplements tested.

These include green tea, grape seed, goji

berry, lutein, lycopene – even heavily hyped

newcomers like resveratrol and açai. In

addition, 30 studies have been published

on P∂Mx by leading researchers at major

universities, and more are in progress.
