Introduction

Mobile parabolic food aid delivery system Refugees surrounded by a piranha-

infested river Mountainous jungles full of wild

dangerous creatures Goal is to get food to refugees

Constraints

No bigger then 18”x18”x18” 10 pounds Must sit behind a line 12 inches from the top of the rampMust be self triggering Can’t cost more the $20

Decisions

The only one that all parts logically worked Felt springs were more accurate Good trigger Connected to FAP longest

Page 15: Parabolic Food Aid Delivery System Manjaneeq Allison King Bader Asadallah University of the Pacific Stockton, CA 12/5/2002.

Refinements

Adding extra springs Add block of wood where trigger hits Extending arms that hold the FAP Bending angle of arms positioning

Suggested Improvements

BungeesStronger metal rodsDon’t use springsSmaller wheels

Page 24: Parabolic Food Aid Delivery System Manjaneeq Allison King Bader Asadallah University of the Pacific Stockton, CA 12/5/2002.

Conclusion

Springs don’t have enough force to make the PFAP go over a 6 ft. wall Springs can make the 10 ft. length accurately Manjaneeq was too long to fit on the ramp, behind the yellow line
