Itʼs defi nitely different than Akronʼs Centennial Celebration, said Com-mittee Chairperson Marcene Heeren, explaining with the Centennial, events were held every weekend for months. “The Quasquicentennial Celebration is all happening in four days - Aug. 9 -12.” “We tried to come up with a variety of things so that there would be something everybody will like,” she said. “Obviously, everybodyʼs not going to like everything but we tried to hit all ages - something for the men, the women and children.”
