No two are every alike! What you need: Small square piece of thin paper Scissors Pencil (if using a pattern) How to make the snowflake: 1 Decide what paper you want to use. Be sure to use a thin paper such as lightweight typing paper, origami paper, or even tissue paper. Cut the paper to the desired size of square. Cutting the folded paper is difficult unless the paper is thin. If using one of our patterns, cut to the size indicated. Fold the paper in half. Crease the edges. See Illustration 1. 2 Fold the paper in half again. Crease the edges again. See Illustration 2. 3 Bring down the top left corner to make a triangle. See Illustration 3. Crease the edges. You’ll be cutting on the folded edges. If you are using a pattern, draw around it on the folded paper. 4 Cut notches or shapes from the folded sides and outside edge (blue on patterns). See Illustration 4. Cut on the lines following the lines on the pattern, or just randomly cut notches anywhere. Open up the snowflake.
