Theatre is a form of art. It involves the use of our hands, body and intelligence. As such, theatre can be used to encourage children and teenagers to express themselves in a creative way.

Apart from that, theatre can be seen as method to engage teenagers in discussions. Although this may not be an answer to their problems but these discussions help them to see their problems from all angles.

Theatre can also be used to educate the young, for example, about HIV and AIDS. While theatre is a good way people to speak from their experiences or tell stories about their friends, its main purpose is to get young people to process their thoughts.
