Concept/Specifications[

Width: 2.5” Height: 4.5” Depth: .5”
• Very little onboard storage. Majority of information stored on cloud servers.
• Designed as a complete replacement for mobile devices, laptop computers, and personal home computers.
• Automatic display adjustment based on distance of projection surface and surface size.
Practical Uses
The Panton device is designed to act similar to the Octopus card used in Japan. This includes the digital transfer of tickets, keycards, payments, etc. In addition, you would have the ability to perform
banking, stocks, etc. using this device.
No More Plastic
The Panton device would advance the way we pay at the cash register. Now, we slide a plastic
card through a credit machine to pay for items. With the Panton device, there would be no need to even remove it from your pocket.
Instead, Panton communicates your information to the register. The clerk sees an identification image of you and you enter a
password to verify and approve the payment.
Display Walls
In busy areas such as airports or shopping malls, display walls would be put up allowing you to access and display the Panton device’s OS. You’re Panton device would send a signal
to a receiver giving you access your device, via password. Such displays would understand
hand gestures as a way of navigating the OS.
Rooms
The Panton device would also have the ability to save room settings, such as temperature and
lighting, and could be set to automatically update upon entering a room equipped with
this technology. In addition, you would be able to play music through your Panton device
over a room’s audio equipment or use the bluetooth earpiece as microphone.
Classrooms
Ideally, classrooms would be set up with docking stations and un-foldable projection screens. This would allow students to carry and use their Panton device anywhere on
campus. These docking stations would charge the Panton device as well as allow it to project
it’s OS.
Supplementary Items
• Bluetooth headset/headphones
• Additional “sixth-sense” style projection unit allowing you to display your OS on any surface. (sixth-sense device)
• Docking/charging station based on current technology. (ex. mGrid)
