4:15—5:15 in the Library

Now that we have a few weeks of school un-der our belt, students are getting into their routine and continue learning the importance of living up to or exceeding the classroom ex-pectations set by each teacher. Social/emotional growth is crucial to academic suc-cess. Recognizing and dealing with frustra-tions and stress by finding healthy coping strategies is a skill that isn’t just applicable in the classroom; it’s a critical lifelong skill. Mov-ing into September we will continue to focus on developing a growth mindset that allows us to forgive ourselves and learn from inevita-ble mistakes so that we can grow and flour-ish.

In November the library will become and enchanted forest

Art News

Our art room is so busy this month with many colorful projects! Ask your student what they’ve been up to in art class! Also, most students above Kindergarten should be able to tell you about many of the elements of art. Ask them if you get the chance! For now, most projects stay in the art room so they are ready for various art displays throughout the year, but don’t worry as it will all be sent home by the end of the school year. I’ll keep you posted about all art shows we participate in throughout the year.

Lunch Room News

Every day students get three options to choose from

at lunch. We give them a choice of the main entrée,

yogurt/seeds/ roll, or a sandwich. We are also offer-

ing a fresh fruit/ or canned fruit and a cooked vege-

table and a fresh vegetable. The kids are loving the

fact that they get to choose exactly what they want.

Please remember if your child has food allergies you

must have a doctor fill out a new allergy form every

year. As of right now I only have I student that has

turned one in. We are not allowed to change their

meal options unless they have and allergy form on

file.

If you have any ques-

tions, please feel free to

call us.
