This film tells the story of country music’s most historic event: The 1927 Bristol Sessions. Through dramatic reenactments, we revisit those 12 days when Jimmy Rodgers, the Carter Family and others descended upon the Tennessee-Virginia border city of Bristol to record the songs that would go on to be known as the “Big Bang” of country music. Features interviews with Dolly Parton, Vince Gill, Emmylou Harris, Marty Stuart, and Sheryl Crow, among others.
