Harnessing ENERGY from RENEWABLE SOURCES
VISION
To be the Philippines' premier renewable energy company by
balancing profitability with sustainability strategies which are
essential to a better, safer, and healthier environment for all.
Harnessing ENERGY from RENEWABLE SOURCES
Mission
Our mission is to produce "clean energy" from renewable
sources and to provide the public and the private sectors with
technological solutions for energy efficiency and green energy
production with attractive financial returns.
We pursue our mission with the priority of safeguarding the
environment and upholding the principles of the Kyoto
Protocol while creating company value.

Harnessing ENERGY from RENEWABLE SOURCES
The Quezon City Government signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with PGEP on February 14, 2007 for the extraction, collection, flaring, and conversion to energy of biogas
from the dumpsite

PROJECTS
Harnessing ENERGY from RENEWABLE SOURCES
The Quezon City Government has control, jurisdiction, and manages the operation of the Quezon City Controlled Disposal Facility through the Environmental Protection
& Waste Management Department and the Payatas Operations Group

In July 10, 2000, after a period of heavy rain, a trash slide occurred in the Payatas open dump. Subsequently an Executive Order signed by President Joseph Estrada instructed the conversion of this open dump
to a controlled dump. Quezon City government created the Payatas Operations Group (POG) in November 12, 2000 specifically to manage, operate, and secure the dumpsite.

Objectives
ADDRESS THE HEALTH AND SAFETY CONCERNS of Quezon City for its constituents, particularly at the
disposal facility and its immediate surroundings.
Harnessing ENERGY from RENEWABLE SOURCES
MITIGATE THE ADVERSE ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACTS OF BIOGAS EMISSIONS
of the disposal facility through the application of appropriate technology for its extraction, collection and processing
