Four Seasons

Known in the sector with its pioneering and innovative

approaches, Palmiye has introduced to the market, by its

Four Seasons products, a movable ceiling system usable

in all four seasons. By the special tension system, Four

Seasons products are usable in all weather conditions.

With careful monitoring of the customer’s wishes, accurate

adjustments, and with an architectural design, the result is

functional as well as stylish.

With our team of professionals within architecture and

engineering, products can also be tailor-made with a

customized design. Including many colours of choice and

decorative details, it provides aesthetic enrichment to the

building and surroundings.

The product is designed to withstand wind forces up

to 117 km/h (11 on Beaufort scale) and can be installed

with different construction types and materials such as

aluminium, galvanized metal, wood, stainless steel etc.

With a drainage system, the rainwater is perfectly drained,

leaving the interior dry and comfortable. In some of our

models, the drainage system is hidden in the front pillars

for an even cleaner design.

The ceiling covers are produced in Italy, exclusively for

Palmiye products. Besides the 3D designed PVC cover, the

option of a ceiling cover with insulation, is available for

the customer’s choice. All are easy-to-clean, UV-resistant,

available in various colours and are under a guarantee of

5 years.

Somfy with its RTS technology is being used for motors and

automation in our products. In the Four Seasons products,

you can have a remote controlled Spot Light System with

dimming functions, which creates a comfortable and

harmonic atmosphere.

Four Seasons products can be made into a retractable

winter garden by closing the sides with different kinds of

sliding or fixed glass panels.

Diamond is a standard awning and an economical model bringing together elegant lines and high quality. This product is available as the manual version as standard, and motor as optional. The product includes stainless steel and aluminium components.

The fabrics used are imported acrylic fabrics and are under 5-year guarantee against fading and mold formation. The Wind Sensor (which is offered optionally) will, according to the wind, automatically extend and retract the awning. A Tipping System allows you to set the angle of your awning between 0°- 45° according to the direction of the sun. Spotlights will help you create a pleasant and harmonic atmosphere.

The elegantly designed Estella model has a full cassette system, providing complete protection for the fabric and the mechanism against foreign elements.

Owing to this cassette system, you can keep your awning spotless and neat for many years.

The most advanced, modern and functional model of its class, Platinum, invites you to a world of comfort. Equipped with a full cassette system operating with a remote controlled motor as standard, this product also sweeps the fabric with its cleaning brush during retraction, and enables a perfect closure with the gasket within the cassette system.

The aluminium cassette in the fabric roller section provides protection against foreign elements even when the awning is extended. A PVC fabric-saving profile inside the cassette protects the fabric against discolouration.

While a wind sensor, which can be added optionally, provides protection against wind, spotlights can be added to create a pleasant atmosphere.

The product is completely corrotion-proof, equipped with mechanism in aluminium. The imported acrylic fabric is under a 5-year guarantee against fading and mold formation.

Sky Slider is especially designed to provide shading for winter gardens and has a full cassette system. The Fabric moves on rails, located at the right and left side.

The product aims at cutting down sun rays before they reach the panes of the winter garden, thus keeping the interior cool and shady.

FS FLEXY IZO-PRO

FS FLEXY fabric, which is used as ceiling cover in the Four Seasons products, is PVC based and has the weight of 780 g/m2. The fabric tensile strength is 255 daN/5cm. Its three layers gives the fabric various features.

The fabric is produced in Italy exclusively for Palmiye and holds a guarantee of 5 years against fading and mold formation. With its blackout feature, it filters the UV-light and by this keeps the interior cool and refreshing. Besides its waterproof features, this fabric is also flame retardant (CL2 - UNI

EN 13773). The fabric is easy-to-clean and is produced in the colours white, ivory and grey, with a special three-dimensional pattern, giving an extra sense of space.

First introduced by Palmiye and protected under a patent, IZO-PRO is a special and unique insulation cover, produced in Italy.

Developed by nanotechnology in Germany, the product, owing to its insulating functions, offers a cool atmosphere in hot seasons and a setting which is easy to heat in cold seasons.

It weights 1320 g/m2 and consists of three layers. These are PVC upper layer, insulated middle layer and bottom polyester layer. Harmonious with the existing interior space and forming a stylish atmosphere, the

bottom polyester layer is available in various colours. It may be considered soundproof as it reduces the ambient sound level and diminishes direct propagation of the sound. Ultrathin SiO2 coating adds water- and oil repellent features to the surface. Developed by German nanotechnology and offering a 5-years guarantee, IZO-PRO is a part of our investments in energy savings and green technologies.

The fabrics used in Palmiye products are imported from USA, France and Spain.

All fabrics have a 5-year guarantee against fading and mold formation.

The acrylic fabrics that are made for outdoor use, can create maximum coolness owing to their low level of heat transmission properties.

WOOD ALU GAL Motor & Automation

WOOD

Our wooden structures are produced from 1st class laminated timber using a special polyurethane chemi-cal adhesive. The wood used in production is painted with latex based paint, and undergoes a water-based impregnation process.

In lamination, we use 22 mm-thick wooden layers. By a drying process, the moisture inside the wood is re-duced until 8-12 %. The structure is strengthened with the processes performed, and wood problems such as deflection or cracking are prevented. In addition, our wooden structures offered in different colours are under a guarantee against decay for 15 years.

ALUMINIUM

Aluminium is a silvery-white, metallic element, which is well known for its hardness with light structure and its remarkable ability to resist corrosion. Our alumin-ium structures are powder coated with electrostatic paint during the production.

Electrostatic powder coating ensures complete cover-age even in complex shapes, is UV-resistant, environ-mentally friendly and enable us to offer the highest possible quality finish with an extremely durable ef-fect.

Our aluminium series comes with an integrated water drainage system for a cleaner design as well as perfect rainwater guidance, and is available in various colour options.

GALVANIZED METAL

All metal parts coated with electrostatic powder paint, are electro-galvanized in order to prevent corrosion of the structure and to provide a perfect surface. The processing of the metal is a two-stage process, the first of which involves coating the metal with a zinc layer, and subjecting it to electro-galvanization. The second stage involves coating and painting the whole part with electrostatic powder paint.

Our Galvanized Metal applications are used where strength is necessary to bear heavy loads, and where the number of front pillars is reduced in order to create maximum outdoor space.

In our motor and automation system, using the world’s leading Somfy brand, a tension mechanism is used, which is especially produced for the Four Sea-sons products.

Offering a 5-year guarantee and produced in France, Somfy motors are operated with a remote control us-ing secure radio technology. Due to its long-range built-in antenna, the motor can be operated even through several reinforced concrete walls.

The wireless sun sensor extends the ceiling cover au-tomatically in sunny conditions and creates a cooling shade.

Waterblock System

(1) Gutter and Down Pipes which are produced for the purpose of guiding and controlling the flow of rainwater are installed on the construction.

(2) The integrated water drainage system is available as standard in Four Seasons aluminium product series. Down Pipes are concealed inside the front pillars to create a stylish and elegant design.

NB! If the product is planned to be used as a winter garden or similar by closing the sides, the Gutter & Down Pipe is a necessity.

This system prevents the wind to enter the closed area.

The Anti-Air System, which is a patented product of Palmiye, consists of an elastic material fastened on the rails and gutter. When the ceiling cover is fully stretched, this elastic material tightens all the gaps where the wind can enter, ensuring a calm and sheltered environment.

NB! If the product is planned to be used as a winter garden or similar by closing the sides, the Anti-Air System is a necessity.

This system prevents the rainwater to enter the closed area, by leading it into a gutter for perfect water drainage.

NB! If the product is planned to be used as a winter garden or similar by closing the sides, the Waterblock System is a necessity.

The Beam Cover, which prevents penetration of rainwater (also wind and snow) between the supporting beams and rails, is also used for a perfect combination of two separate products. The Beam Cover is made of aluminium, and coated with electrostatic paint.

The Trapezium System is an optional ceiling cover system available for flat versions, and is a system made to drain the water towards the sides. The ceiling cover is tightened on one side while the other side is loosened. By this, the water flows on the ceiling cover between the fabric support profiles. This application is being used when the tilted ceiling cover system of various reasons cannot be applied. This system is designed to withstand wind forces up to 8 according to Beaufort scale, which corresponds to a wind force of 74 km/h.

NB! In winter garden applications, due to insulation needs, the tilted system is preferable.

Movable Spot Light KitThe Spot Light System, which can be designed according to the customer’s needs and type of interior, also creates an elegant and stylish atmosphere where it is installed. With the Cable Transmission System, which is a patented product of Palmiye, all the cables are concealed inside the fabric.

The spotlights are controlled by remote controls available with dimmer functions.

One Spot Light Kit consists of four spotlights.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION

The transmission belt contains stainless steel cables and resists the tensile

strength of 914kg at break.

The ceiling cover moves sliding on rails with wheels with a capacity over

500kg each.

The ceiling cover has a weight capacity of 80 kg/m2.
