George Albert Patrick, 86, died Saturday, February 18, 2006, at Brentwood Terrace Health Centei, Waynesboro.
Mr. Patrick, a native of Burke County, was bom December 26,1919, to the late Darren Patrick and Irene Scott. He owned a logging company and was a fanner.
An avid hunter and fisherman, he is remembered for his love of the outdoors. He also loved gardening and was well known in Burke County for his watermelons.
He is survived by his estranged wife, Ella Chaney Patrick, Augusta, Ga.; daughters, Lula Gale (Charles) Sullivan, Augusta, Ga., Carolyn Patrick Green and Pearl Patrick, Augusta, Ga., Dorothy (James) Wilson. Gulfport, Miss.; sons, Albert L. “Chuck” Patrick and bdward J. Patrick, Augusia, Ga.; a brother, Charlie (Queenie)Patrick, McBean , Ga..; sisters, Queenie Godbee and Maggie Givens, Augusta, Ga.; sister-in-law Willie Mae Nelson, Augusta, Ga.; grandchildren, LaTanya Grant, Atlanta, Ga., James Patrick Wilson and James Evan Wilson, Gulfport, Miss., and Dawn Wilson, James Patrick Jr., Michael Green, Angela Houston, Cynthia Cooper, Alicia Patrick, Ashley Smith, Eric Patrick, Timothy Patrick and Erica Patrick, Augusta, Ga.; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephew and other relatives. He was preceded in death by a son, James Patrick Sr. and a grandson, Albert Patrick Jr.
