Alaska State Fair never disappoints and this year’s theme, “Crazy Good Alaska State Fair” reflected on how Alaskans felt about their local State fair and they felt GREAT! Attendance at the Fair was exceptional! Everyone

enjoyed beautiful weather, good music, delicious food, and many of the attractions the Alaska State Fair had to offer. As fall is approaching, the memory of the 2019 Alaska State Fair soon will become one of many memorable events of the

Updates from the Golf Course We have had a wonderful August. We hosted the Eagle River Elks Scramble on August 1st, then we had the Anchorage Women's Golf Association Team Play on August 5th.

The Palmer Club Championship had 102 players on August 17 & 18. It was very challenging with the high winds, but everyone battled through and enjoyed the event. Keira Deland won the women's net division at age 13 and her brother Nile was second in the men's net division at age 11. (Article & Pic Courtesy of G. Collum)

MTA Event Center Getting Ready…

As the Palmer Golf Course wraps up for the season, the MTA Event Center prepares for winter fun.

The MTA Events Center will be opening the doors soon for its

16th season! The arena is looking good with Center Ice Logos from MTA being installed. Electric Motors were purchased for the arena compressors as well and the goal nets are being painted red as we speak with new netting ready to be strung for the pucks that await to find the twine. Programming is shaping up and the final schedule should be out in Mid- September. Once the new schedule/time is finalized you will see exciting new programs added for the coming year like an Adult 3 on 3 Box Hockey league. We are the first to have a league of 3 on 3 Box Hockey for an entire season! Spread the word and get your skates sharpened!

It is almost that time of the year again!
