The purpose of this assessment work was to determine the feasability of starting a pink Quarry on claim #'s 1083388 and 1084997. A core sample was taken of the pink material several years ago and further exploration was required. The material is a coarse grained granite with elongated cyrstals.
Two days were spent on foot on the two claims to determine the approximate area of the pink colour. Two sites were then selected to be stripped. The first site stripped was on claim # 1083388. A loader was used to strip an area in the south east corner of the claim. After the stripping was completed, the site proved to be an excellent site for a future Quarry. There were very few fractures and minimal colour problems such as viening.
The second site chosen required more extensive exploration. A natural ledge was located and a large area was stripped above the face. A road was then built to access the face of the ledge from the bottom. The stripped area was then cleaned further with air hoses and compressor. After the surface had been cleaned, an area was chosen to be drilled and blasted. Several rough samples will be taken to observe colour consistency. The area to be drilled was located between two (2) vertical seams. Test holes were drilled to determine the depth of the ledge and it was found to be four (4) meters. This will give a very good indication of surface weathering. Five (5) vertical lines were drilled. The first was drilled to square the face perpendicular to the grain direction and the next four, parallel at 3 meter intervals. Two colour samples were taken at each stage, one close to the surface and one from deeper down.
Each stage was then drilled, blasted and removed. One squared block was saved to determine grain size and direction. This will also determine which way the blocks will have to be quarried. In this case, the blocks would be quarried with the grain and then sawn vertically, (perpendicular to the rift and along the grain length)
The colour at the "B" test site is very dark, but also very appealing and upon examination of the area it proves large enough to support a seperate Quarry.
The next step will be to permit both sites for test Quarries and remove sample blocks for both tiles and slabs.

RE: Claim # 1083388 and # 1 084997
Description of granite sample.
The sample is a megacrystic brown granite. Megacrysts of brownish potassium feldspar are contained in a matrix of clear colourless quartz, buff to colourless plagioclase feldspar, brownish potassium feldspar and biotite. The megacrystic feldspars are up to 3.5 cm long by 1.0 cm wide. They are twinned (Carlsbad twinning) and some contain an internal schiller reflection. The matrix minerals are in general between 1-4 mm in size. An iron oxide, most probably magnetite, is present in the matrix and is less than 2 mm in size. Ther overall colour of the granite is brown to reddish brown.

TEST AREA "A"
Colour is the same as Test Site "B"; only abit lighter possibly due to surface weathering.
Stripping was carried out to determine the Quarry potential of Site "A". This site was chosen for its' topography. The slope of the bed rock is very well suited for the opening of a Quarry. Overburden consisted of mainly moss and scrub jack pine in shallow pockets of bedrock. Total volume of material stripped would possibly be 100 M3. CD
After the site had been stripped, examination revealed an ideal Quarry location. The material was very homogeneous. Only one major quartz vein was noted at the extreme south end of the claim. There were also no major vertical seams visible. Only the horizontal sheeting depths would have to be determined by diamond drilling, to go ahead with this site.
(T/ All piled overburden will be either stockpiled in one area or moved to our present waste site at our Pine Green Quarry - l km. away.
