When Woodland Christian Trust was accepted as a
registered UK charity, AGMI in Pakistan became one of the
first ministries working in partnership and building on
this relationship
The story of Patrick and Maria set the course of the Trust. Their story was so moving.
The Trust began raising funds to rescue Christian children and soon Christian families
from the Muslim bondage of slavery
Patrick and Maria wereorphans in a slave factory. There mother had diedand Patrick was lookingafter his baby sister Maria.
Funds were sent to buythem out of slavery andtake them to one of theAGMI schools
By the time we reachedthe factory to rescue themwe were told they hadboth died from disease.
The course of Woodland Christian Trust was set
A small, slow but steady flow of funds has enabled us to release others from
slavery.
These sixteen children were the first fruits of the rescues and were placed in Christian homes and
now attend a small school in Faisalabad

But one life at a time
We can make a difference
Well over 100 Christians have now been rescued from
slavery
We are currently awaiting news about two more families for whom
funds have been sent (Sept 13)
Christian children have little opportunity for education
in Pakistan
Woodland Christian Trust was proud to partner with AGMI and
others to help build the New Covenant School in Faisalabad
In employment too, Christians have little opportunities. Muslims
seldom hire Christian workers
Young girls are often sent to work as house girls in Muslim homes to help support their families
She is from a Christian Family
Christians are treated very badly in Muslim Pakistan
10 year old Rakhi worked as a house girl to help family
finances
He was released without charge after paying a bribe. He comes from a very well connected Muslim family
This WAS Shazia
She died aged 12
Advocate C------- M------- N---- and his family were acquitted in the murder of their 12-year-old maid, Shazia Masih, by the court on Monday.
The additional district and sessions judge held that Shazia had not been murdered but died of natural causes.
The preliminary medical report had recorded 17 injuries to Shazia’sforehead, cheek and scalp caused by some blunt weapon
No-one has been charged and convicted for these heinous acts
…because they are Muslim
Rahki, Nirmal and Shazia are only Christians!!!
Please pray for this ambitious scheme
The Rakhi Rescue Centre will give hope and a new life to about 150 girls like Rakhi, Nirmal and Shazia
