The fighting Tigers basketball team had a rough but fun year. The freshman, JV and varsity teams went through conditioning, and long hard practices. For every game the JV and varsity team dressed up for game day by either wearing their basketball ties, white shirts, and khakis, or by wear1ng khakis and a sweater. The teams would shoot baskets every home game before the opposing team arr1ved. Then

• they would dress in their pre-game warm ups and get focused on defeat1ng their opponent. "Before each game I would try and zone in on the game and try to do the th1ngs that we learned 1n practice," = said Peter Euler. The varsity team captains were Senior, Troy Rayle, and Senior. Jared James. Varsity and JV practiced together and the Freshman team pract1ced alone. There were a few players splltt1ng

• their play time between the JV and varsity teams. These players had to spread out their quarters for • each game night to stay energized and ready for the next game. The Tigers also had two water boys,

Corey Bean and Nathan Flores. They helped out by getting warm-ups, towels and water for the players before and during each game. All three basketball teams played a good season and fought hard for

• • • every game. By: Marcello Trev1no

The g1rl's vars1ty team really worked hard to be a team this season. Every one of them sa1d that teamwork was the most important part of what they d1d. They had a rocky season, and few wins, but every game, they played w1th their hearts and pushed themselves. They never gave up on each other. Their coaches, Mr. Mulholand and Mr. Kloepfer never gave up on them either. At the end of the season, the girls had to say goodbye to seniors Serah Lukas, Lacie Orians and Baley Delancy. The underclassmen girls were all very sad to see thew frtends play the1r last t1ger game. Sen1or n1ght was a great way to say goodbye and to show them how much they were apprectated. "I really think next year's season w1ll go much better. I can feel tt " sa1d K1rsten Bowers. If the g1rls keep putting the1r heart tnto what they are do1ng, and never stop play1ng as a team, next year's season w1ll be phenomenal. By: Haiti Cramer

This year Coach DuVall led the wrestling team to a great season. Jacob Gillen was the capt1on of the team. Jacob liked being the captain because of the respons1b1llty; he felt important He had a great time wrestling this year w1nn1ng 28 matches. The adv1se he g1ves to next years team is to prepare for hard pract1ces; to be w1ll1ng and determined to work hard. Another team member. Michael South, stated that he also had a good season. He chose to do wrestling for a different reason. Pract1ces and matches got him prepared for the football season. But he found out towards the end of the season that wrestling was one of his favorite sports. Taylor Dick had the most fun on the bus ride home. Although Taylor was on crutches most of the season, because of a knee InJury, he was still right there cheering his team mates on. By: Shushona Orr

Track was fun and educational for everyone that parttcipated in the sport. The team only had two home meets during this season. The teams partictpated tn events like the 100-meter dash, discus, hurdles, poll vault, relays, and more. The team had a total of 29 members thts season. There were 9 girls and 20 boys. One of the 9 gwls on the team named Emtly Rayle sa1d "My favor1te thtng about track 1s throw1ng the dtscus. My least favortte th1ng about track is running long dtstances." Corey North commented, "If I could descr1be track m one word it would be fun. Everything 1s fun except for running." The team pract1ced almost everyday at the elementary school. They had a lot of support from their parents, friends, and coaches. Everyone had a great t1me runn1ng, JUmping, and enJoyed competing against other teams. They had more fun just messing around at practices than at the track meets. By: Ashlee Quantic

The team had an exciting but rough year. The Tigers had about 9 return1ng lettermen, but only 3 of them were seniors. The T1gers had a decent season finish1ng 8-16 for the1r overall record. Although they f1mshed last 1n the MAL, they put up a good match for all the1r oppos1ng teams. "We had a good team th1s year. but we just couldn't h1t the runners tn when we needed to," sa1d Ell S1mon. The T1gers never gave up and fought for every game unt1l the umpwe called the f1nal out. The team started out defeating Rogers H1gh School w1th a run rule. But when the tournaments came around, they lost a close game to Northwood w1th a f1nal score of 2-0. The year had changes as 1t went along. " Th1s season marked a maJor change," sa1d Gage Stewart. The players are exc1ted to get back into baseball season for next year and some may play summer ball so they don't have to end the play1ng season so soon. Coach Flores 1s also ready for summer ball and 1s look1ng forward to seeing more people play summer ball. " You can only get better rf you play as much as you can," sa1d Coach Flores. • The season was outstanding. Varsity was tied for f1rst. JV lost 1 game. The vars1ty team 1ncludes 8 sen1ors, 2 JUnior, and 1 sophomore. The JV team 1ncludes 9 freshman and 1 sophomore. The sen1or w1ll be m1ssed. The girls worked well together to get where they were in the end. Condrtlomng was cruc1al, but was worth it 1n the end. Some of the gwls' favorite things thrs season were the bus r1des, runn1ng the bases, and be1ng a team! Most of the girls have been play1ng since T-ball so they have had a lot of exper1ence. The teams are described as interesting, fam11y-l1ke, comeback k1ds, unpredictable, full of pride, and energetic! The semors helped the younger players succeed. "One thing that I w1ll miss most th1s year is playing softball with the semors. We all had a good t1me and had some good laughs," sa1d Ashley Miller. This rs Coach Frankie's fwst year as a vars1ty head coach. He had a very good season with the gwls. Along h1s s1de were assistants Coach K1ng, Coach Frost, and Coach Lauren. They all worked hard for what they have accomplished thrs year. By: Marcello TreVJno
