RACE INFORMATIONBoth the 10 Miler and 5K begin and end at SalisburyUniversity. The 10 Miler and 5K (3.1 miles) windthrough the beautiful neighborhoods surrounding theUniversity and the Wicomico River.

IMPORTANT INFORMATIONEach mile is marked and professional racemanagement and timing are provided with chip timing.

Runners in the 10-mile race must be able tocomplete the course in 2 hours 30 minutes.

To ensure runner safety, unregistered runners, bicycles,skateboards, roller blades, baby joggers and dogs arestrictly prohibited on the 10 mile and 5K race course.

The non-competitive 5K walk will allow babyjoggers and well-behaved canines. This event will startfive minutes after the competitive events. Sorry nodogs allowed in Salisbury University facilities. We willtry to make your dog as comfortable as possible withwater bowls, treats, etc. outside of building.

EVENT WAIVER/RELEASE OF LIABILITY (MUST BE SIGNED)I know that running/walking a road race is a potentially hazardous activity. I should not enter and run unless I am medically able and properly trained. I agree to abide by any decision of a race official relative to my ability to safely complete the event. I assume all risks associated with runningand walking in this event including but not limited to: falls, contact with other participants, the effects of the weather, including cold and high heat, traffic and conditions of the road/sidewalks, all such risks being known and appreciated by me. Having read this waiver and knowing these factsand in consideration of you accepting my entry, I, for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release the following: Salisbury University, The City of Salisbury, Wicomico County Maryland, Tim Kennard River Run Inc., Road Runners Club of America, and all sponsors, theirrepresentatives and successors from all claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of my participating in this event. I understand and waive even though that liability may arise out of carelessness on the part of the persons named in this waiver. GUIDELINESRoad Runners Club of America Insurance and racing guidelines will be in effect at the event. All participants must be registered, “bandits” will be asked to leave the course. Unregistered individuals can not interfere with an entered participant, such as running a section of course or “aiding therunner.” Please do not go through finish line and chute without a registered number. Numbers must have the bottom tear off section attached when you cross the finish line. Race numbers are to be worn on the front of participants. No refunds will be issued. No headsets, animals, rollerblades/skates or baby joggers permitted on the 10-mile race course. The race directors reserve the right to reject race entry.

IMPORTANTEach participant must complete and sign this form agreeing to the waiver on the registration form.

ONLY ONE PERSON PER APPLICATION. Photo copies are permitted. The Tim Kennard Run is not responsible for lost,late or misdirected applications.

REASON TO RUN/WALKTimothy Kennard, 48 years old, and father of a 7-year-old son, passed away on March 11, 2004. He fought a courageousbattle against renal cancer. Tim is missed by his family and fellow running friends. This run/walk is in his honor, withproceeds going, as Tim requested, to help children and animals. This year the proceeds will help: CoastalHospice, specifically for programs that help grieving children to cope withthe loss of a loved one. Horizons Salisbury, which provides support,education and hope to children from economically disadvantaged families;Coalition of Caring, a fund for our animal friends.
