I’ve been contemplating this week on the relevance

of Easter, the resurrection, and its applicability to my life and to

Christianity. It is the resurrection of Christ Jesus that makes all

the difference to Christianity as a religion, separating us from all

others, and it is central to our core theological truths. The resurrection is the foundation on which our faith remains anchored during life’s storms. It was the empty tomb, and the encounter

with angels, and ultimately, the living Christ that empowered those who doubted, like Thomas, to believe and press on in faith (John 20:28). Without the resurrection, the foundation of the Church, you and I are without hope. When I carefully consider the enormous implications of the miracle of God coming down to live among us, becoming human, working miracles, bringing hope and wholeness, it rocks my world. The resurrection is about courage to believe against all odds.

Whether you are facing disconnectedness from God, or any crises life might have thrown at you right now, the resurrection brings power to heal your brokenness. The resurrection begins with an empty tomb and ends with hearts filled by Him who rose from the dead. Rejoice church! For He who was dead, is alive forevermore! Revelation 1:18.

“Hi I just want to share that I have been delivered from drugs (crystal meth) for over three years. I give God all the glory for this amazing thing. People always say, ‘Oh, you’re a recovering addict?’ No, I’ve been delivered never to be the same again. Some do not understand when I say this, but it is possible. God can and does do wonders like this if you completely surrender to Him. Since my deliverance, I’ve watched Daystar and Celebration every week. Let me share how this television network has had a major part in my spirit coming to life again. Thank you for being so true to the Trinity and the Word of God. How I earnestly pray for this ministry and the Lamb family and staff. Continue to be a blessing to the body of Christ and all the world.” Sylvia

Daystar loves and supports the nation of Israel and the Jewish people. If you are with us in this, be sure to check out the Daystar Israel website at www.daystar.com/israel.One of the most exciting parts of the refreshed site is the live Israel webcam. By clicking on www.daystar.com/israelcam, you can see the view from our studio in Jerusalem, day or night, exactly as it’s happening. The site has many other great features, including news updates and videos. While you’re on the site

you can stay up to date on all of our activities in Israel – each one made possible by your

continued support and prayers. We believe the promise God made

to Abraham in Genesis 12:3, that He will bless those who bless

Israel. We are committed to blessing the country and

its people, and we invite you to join us in doing the same!

Dear Partners & Friends!

It is a joy to write to you every month. I always try to be led by the Holy Spirit and also speak to you from my heart. Joni & I really love you! And we appreciate your faithfulness very much.

What a great Spring Sharathon we had! It was the second most pledges that we have ever had. In fact, we missed the all time record by only about 1%.

We are very excited about the continued growth of your Daystar. In the United States, there are 115 million homes. Your Daystar is now in over 100 million homes in the U.S.!!!

Another good thing is new programmers (or new time slots) on Daystar like:

---Israel Now News: on Sundays at 3pm ET

---Pastor Robert Morris: from Southlake, TX, on Sundays at 10:30am ET

---Reinhard Bonnke: from Africa, on Thursdays at 10:30pm ET

Thanks for praying for our youngest, Miss Rebecca, who just turned 20. She was in Uganda, Africa for a month doing missions work for Daystar. Our oldest, Jonathan, and his new wife, Suzy, just found out they are pregnant! (This will be mine & Joni’s first grandchild!!!)

If you made a pledge in one of our Sharathons, I hope that you will send in what you can today. Together, you and Daystar are making a difference in every city in America and in every country of the world, including Israel!

One thing I am passionate about is my love for Israel. I wanted to honor the Jewish people by producing a series

on the Holocaust. When I think

about the six million Jews that

were murdered and the multitudes

who were persecuted during the

Holocaust, I can just imagine the

heart of God being broken. So last July we dedicated one week of Joni shows to a series on the

Holocaust. Since April 19th is

Holocaust Remembrance Day, we

will rebroadcast this series April

16th – April 20th. It has been 67 years since the

Holocaust but for survivors and children of survivors it remains an ever-present reality. In this series we honor the courage of those who experienced the Holocaust. You will hear from Holocaust survivor Irene Zisblatt. Her family was murdered, and she endured horrific treatment in a Nazi concentration camp. You will also hear from Peter Loth who was born in a Nazi concentration camp. We will show you historic footage and photos, and you will hear testimonies of survivors and children of survivors.

Their stories of healing and

forgiveness will leave an

indelible impression, and

you will be encouraged to forgive

others. You will truly be touched

by this series. So on Holocaust Remembrance Day we will honor those who fought, those who suffered and those who died. We

love the Jewish people. We love

Israel.

Daystar was recently privileged to partner with Irene Gleeson Foundation (IGF) in Northern Uganda by sending a team to work alongside this amazing woman of God, Ms. Irene Gleeson. Because of our faithful Daystar partners, the team was blessed to assist Ms. Irene as she serves the people of Uganda. The team’s intent was to help serve and bless the people with food, clean water, supplies, educational materials, crafts and health care, but they quickly realized they were the ones receiving the greatest blessings of all.

Mama Irene, as most lovingly call her, began her work with the Ugandan people over 20 years ago. Obeying God’s call, she sold her beachside home in Australia and made the move thousands of miles away from her family and friends. Little did she know when she began teaching a very small group of rescued child soldiers under a tree seemingly in the middle of nowhere, sharing Bible stories of God’s love for them would lead to well over 10,000 precious souls today.

After pouring her life into the Ugandan people for over 20 years along with generous supporters like you, Ms. Mama Irene now serves over 10,000 children a day, providing primary and vocational

education, food, clean water, health care and more. IGF also built a strong Christian radio

station that reaches over one million listeners with the love of God and an AIDS Hospice. They

are currently building a hospital, as well as more schools around Northern Uganda.

Through your generosity, Daystar’s three-person team was able to document the entire month’s experience in the life of Ms. Mama Irene and IGF. We are looking forward to sharing it with you, our Daystar supporters who made it possible.

Thank you, Daystar Sponsors, for partnering with us to share the love of God with these precious people. Because of you, we were able to bless 700 children with new sandals, the young women’s group with two sewing machines, and extra food for 20 malnourished families. Thank you, Daystar

Partners, for your generosity and prayers supporting Daystar’s Ugandan team and Irene Gleeson Foundation.
