MOAB SOLUTIONS is teaming up with the Moab Valley Multicultural Center, (MVMC) to perform the annual Point in Time (PIT) count at the end of the month. Beginning on the 28th, and continuing for a week, the count asks people experiencing homelessness where they slept on the night of Wednesday, January 27. The Department of Housing and Urban Development, (HUD) requires this yearly count. The MVMC has taken on the responsibility for the administrative work required by the state for funding resources to help prevent and cure homelessness. The MVMC & Moab Solutions are both part of the Grand County Local Homeless Coordinating Committee. The survey is voluntary and takes a few minutes.
