The blankets that we provided this year are fleece blankets that carry great meaning, for each knot in the fringe symbolizes a prayer. One-by one the knots are tied by individual parishion-ers at the end of each service. One-by one the blanket recipient is lifted-up to God by a caring congregation. A blanket is freely and reverently offered to anyone in St. Mary’s Episcopal Church Community. A donation of $10 is accepted for those outside the community.

We respectfully accept all inquiries regarding this Ministry in care of Mary Lambert at

[email protected].

*The Church also hosts Scouts, UCO’s Pre-School for the Hearing Impaired, Ryan’s Case which is a number of volunteers who make pillow cases for patients

Daughters of the King Invitation to Ladies of the Church

Daughters of the King November 7th meeting will be held at 6:30pm in the old nursery room of the parish hall. Anne Winzenread will present a devotional, “Amazing Grace” during the meeting. The material that Anne will share comes from a new book of inspiring stories behind some of our most loved hymns. Anyone who’s interested in attending and would like to learn more about this prayer order, that also emphasizes service and evangelism, is most welcome.

Special appreciation to 6 courageous warriors of breast cancer who

shared their testimony of faith and trust in the Lord’s healing grace, on a

panel discussion during our October 3 meeting. Thank you for witness-

ing God’s love and faithfulness to you during your experience with breast

cancer, as well as for educating those present with valuable information

and resources, should one encounter the need in the future. Linda Mason,

Anne Winzenread, Dawn Cash, Cindi McCook, Tracy Garrison, and

Mary Kay Gumerlock - all of you are amazing ladies and soldiers for

Christ! We’re so grateful to have heard your stories, and are blessed by

your presence in our lives.
