SACRAMENTS

SERVING OTHERS

Baptism Preparation Classes: Typically held on the First Saturday of the month for parents and Godpar-ents, these classes cover the origin and deep meaning of this primary Sacrament of Initiation. Join us on September 9th (*2nd Saturday), or November 4th. Classes are held in the church and begin following the 9:00 AM 1st Saturday Mass. Marriage Preparation: Retreats are held here at St. Benedict Parish twice a year.

Contact Marti at [email protected] or 206-518-6017 for more information on all of these programs.

St. Vincent de Paul: Carrying out the dream of their patron, our Vincentians assist the poor and needy that live within our parish boundaries. Join them, this could be the ministry you are looking for and they welcome your help. Please give to SVdP.

Sandwich Making for St. Martin de Porres: We meet again Monday, July 17th at 9:00 AM in the lower level of the Parish Center and can always use help in the summer while kids are out of school. We have our PB & J assembly line ready with a place for you! Help make 400 sandwiches for the men’s shelter in Seattle on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of each month.

Still Fighting Hunger in Wallingford: Your ongoing support of FamilyWorks Food Bank and answer to our plea, 233 pounds of food from the church and another 24 cases of food purchased by parishioners were delivered last week. Becky Ortiz applied and re-ceived a $450 CRS Rice Bowl Grant for the church and that money will be delivered to FamilyWorks. We continue to make a difference! Bring non-perishable food items to Mass placing them in the baskets at the back of the church. Thank you for your donations!

Cabrini Ministry: If you, or someone you know, are unable to attend Mass and would like the Eucharist brought to you in your home, please call the Parish Office at 206-632-0843 to make arrangements. We always welcome new ministers so call, too, if you are interested in serving as a minister to the homebound.
