REPORT - FUSION 2K15 TOONAMI TYCOONS

The fusion has been a great tradition of Padmabhushan Vasantdada Patil Pratishthan’s College of Engineering, since its inception in 1996. Over the years the fusion has acquired the status of magnum opus. Fusion 2015, a techno cultural intercollegiate annual festival, befits this great legacy while treading in its new way. Fusion-2015, continuining the glorious tradition, it unfolded a plethora of mind boggling events and was one of the dazzling, glitzy event studded with jewels from treasure chest of PVPP. The event has provided the ample opportunity to the students to excel in various arenas.

ABOUT THE THEME

This year the theme for fusion-2015 was “Toonami Tycoons. To preserve the essence of childhood within our heart, this year’s Fusion showcased a talented blend of the toons with the tycoons! that primarily emphasizes the transformation of engineering students from the lollipop eating, cartoon watching children to the focused, unshakable shoulders that carry the weight of actualizing a better and brighter India. ‘The Celebration’ reflected happiness, liveliness, magnificent spirit and belongingness. Anyhow Fusion always had been reason to celebrate! The fusion-2015 tried to emulate all these traits through various technical, cultural,Fun ,Charity event and flash mob (Phoenix mall,Lower Parel).

Fusion 2015 witnesses many high profile dignitaries and celebrities’ too.

Fusion-2015 program was inaugurated by the chief guest Shri. Ashok

Naigaonkar and presided by guest of honor Shri. Mandar lotlikar,LIC

Official. During inauguration Shri. Mandar Lotlikar urged the need for

such kind of more programs, importance of security, provided his

valuable guidance and motivated students to participate in most of the

Our college campus is spread over 7 acres of land surrounded by Mumbai’s on-going traffic of Eastern Express Highway on three sides of our college.

Fusion this year will be a blend of over 25 creative and innovative techno-cultural events where showcasing the creative and brainy sides of the students are given prime emphasis. The Techno-Cultural events will be complimented by another 25 events which are purely meant for the entertainment of the masses. Every year, we witness active participation from students from all over Maharashtra in these events. Indian Pop-Star Mika Singh embraced our mainstage last year and delivered an action-packed concert.

FUN EVENTS

This year’s mega event Fusion 2015 was complemented with lot of fun

events. Trip and trap,Lan Gaming(Sponsored By R4IDFORCE &

DragonWar) darts, pathfollower, reverse chess, box cricket,Glow the

Pikachu(Sponsored By Bharat Cycles Pvt Ltd) etc attracted huge crowd.

CHARITY EVENT

Fusion 2015 endorsed and supported social cause through charity

program. Children from orphanage Shraddhanand Mahila Ashram were

invited to this program on 17th Feb. Children enjoyed the music and

danced to the tunes of melodious music and were complemented with

food and gifts.

ART GALLERY

Art gallery was a robust platform to challenge the versatility and

creativity of our budding engineers. Apart from the classroom

encounters, a technocrat mind, they also have inclination towards fine

arts. Art gallery was evidence of flavor, fervor of creativity of pvpp

students.Students exhibited rangoli,posters flower decoration sketches

,paintings etc.Faster chef ,mehndi competition also received a good

applause.

CULTURAL EVENT

Cultural program being soul of entire festival were conducted with

passionate zeal on all three days of Fusion-2015. The Day 1(16 Feb)

witnessed informals and Just Dance a spectacular intercollegiate Dance

competition (solo and group) and was hugely responded by the crowd

of PVPP.The budding engineers of pvpp performed a drama “ Amcha

Chakula “ in the event dramebaz by Living in the world of imaginary

characters and showing the reality through enacting other character. It

was a mixture of humor, emotions, enjoyment and enthusiasm.Mrs

Kishori Ambiye, a welkown celebrity in the Marathi film industry was

the guest for the event and the drama was well appreciated by her.

The glitterati of Day 1(16Feb) was film promotion of “Hey Bro”.Famous and popular Choreographer, turned director and actor Ganesh Acharya and his team dazzled the stage with their sparkling performances. Just dance made the crowd to Shake their body and groved to the

beats.The event was judged by DID Fame renowned Mr. Amar deep.

Day 2 (17 Feb) witnessed grand Rock the ramp (Fashion show) comprising one in-house team and five teams from other colleges .Ms.Gurpreet Kaur Chadda,(Advisory panel member of central board of film certification and telephone advisory committee) ,Abhishek Awasthi (Actor/Choreographer) Judged the event .The main attraction Maiboli was adorned with variant hues from cultural flavors of various parts of Maharashtra giving a sneak peak view of unity in diversity that we have in our college. Lavani samradni Vijaya Nikam Palav and actor Kashyap parulekar added spice by gracing the event Maiboli. Corporate meet was arranged to strengthen the industry student interaction followed by the dinner.
